About GZLNA

.

Her name is Glória, and the pleasure is all yours.

GZLNA is a short sci-fi cinematic / arcade experience that takes place in a not so distant future, smack in the middle of Brazil.
Wreck house in Goiás on a top down / grid based shooter style combat. ( WARNING - THIS IS NOT A TWIN STICK SHOOTER )

Educate yourself:

- This is not an {X} Like. Maybe it is. Don't be a nerd.
- Short Playtime. 40 to 60 minutes for a single playthrough, 1.5 to 3 hours to 100% it, aproximately.
- Roughly 50% cinematics, 50% gameplay. If you don't skip the cutscenes, because then it would be like 0% cinematics and 50% gameplay... No, wait.
- Fresh gameplay. We promise we didn't xerox it, not explicitly.
- Top Down Grid Based Realtime Shooter Combat. Think of it as a classic dungeon crawler, but TOP DOWN, REALTIME and without the RPG stuff.
- Easy to learn. We sincerely believe your mom would be able to handle this one.
- Hard to master. :)
- Supports KEYBOARD and CONTROLLER. The Keyboard is the optimal way of putting the heat, however, the Controller works fine as well.
- Banging soundtrack. Please, have the decency of using your good sound equipment.
- Unique atmosphere. Nothing really happens in the Federal District after all.
- 3 difficulty levels. It's a breeze on EZ, on HARD, not so much.
- Upgrade System based on Score Performance. SCORE = RANK = UPGRADE POINTS
- Unlockable Dossiers with character profiles. Cuz nobody gets it anyway.
- Low price tag. Costs even less than you mom. Tell her we said hi.
- There are plans for some improvements. Input remapping and detailed graphical options, for example. This is not a promise. We don't even know you.

Don't forget to check out the Official Soundtrack for GZLNA.

This is a solo developed independent project, so manage your expectations my dear. ;)

It's difficult to put into words what this GZLNA offers, but that’s part of its charm. I could attempt to explain its futuristic plot, but honestly, it’s complex and somewhat unclear. Same goes for the gameplay, a unique blend of action and shooting with grid-based movement. What I can assure you is that the design, characters, cinematics, interface, and even the music showcase a level of expertise that truly stands out. Give it a try, it’s a unique and rewarding experience that deserves to be discovered by more people. I have no idea what is going on in this game, but I liked it. The best way I can describe the theme of this game is - arthouse cyberpunk, like, I feel like I am on the urge of getting what the game is trying to say, but at the same time I have no idea what the game is trying to say. Is that deep? or not deep? I dunno. But I liked the mood. Never played a Brazilian made game before, so this is definitely something new for me. I was surprised there's only 1 review for this game on steam. The real time celshade rendered cutscenes in this game are beautifully stylish, with a hint of cyberpunk noir femme fatale. The game is developed in Unreal engine so I am guessing I can probably try this with the UEVR mod too. First run of the game i finished just a bit over an hour. If you are looking for something out of the norm, this will be something interesting to kill some time. I do think this may have been better if it was developed fully as an animation, instead of a game. There are some intriguing world setting here, and I think ditching the game segments and purely focusing on the storytelling and characters would have made this even more interesting. I give this a 7.4/10. Recommen…

Very stylish and the sound design is nice. The action sequences are fun for a while, but tend to get tad repetitive, but as the game is quite short, this will not be too much of a problem. Controls require some getting used to.

This is art, one of a kind! Played through the game and enjoyed every second and challenge. My next play is already planned and I hope to get better in those mechanics for the upper difficulty <3 Amazing! Worth every buck and really really great executed by the team. Obrigado! Thank you so much for creating this.

Really trippy game. You shoot robots and drive on a high-way, with some scenes in between. Music is nice. It's good.
