I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it's pretty much a leftist revisionist's interpretation of the roof Koreans. The rioters definitely were not all blue-eyed irl, and the Koreans were definitely not millennial ABGs, I'll just leave it at that. Therefore, it fails as a meme game because it offers no real commentary. The gameplay had potential, being an interesting combo of tower defense and boomer shooter, but all of the guns feel weak and most of the allied NPCs are useless. There would be absolutely no reason to recruit any of these allies if it was not mandatory. They can help you defend your store as long as you keep them awake, but it's not worth it to even try because they are only about 25% as accurate and damaging as you are. Now, is it worth $1? Probably, just to see something that could've been.

"Its okay I guess?" What do I mean by Ok? In a nutshell; Its okay for its asking price, computer requirements and being easy to pick up and play. But what drags it down is the many issues that make this game feel very basic and a chore to play through because of those issues which are mentioned below. [Shooting/Guns] The guns are mediocre? The guns feel like they all do the same damage no matter the distance or weapon your using, only difference would be fire rate and the shotgun sometimes doing 1 shot kills half the time. Your best weapons would just be the starting pistol which has a lot of reserve ammo, deals great damage, fast reload and is the most reliable out of the other weapons for each wave you fight through. The only competitor would probably be the Machine Pistol with its super high fire rate and just being the best on getting rid of the enemies that are swarming your shop but will eat away at your pistol ammo really fast. An Issue I have with the gunplay is not being able to switch weapons mid reload, especially with the shotgun, where it takes a couple seconds to reload and you cant switch weapons while reloading so you sort of have to watch as the enemies swarm t…

Hard as Hell, developed and published by L4S Games and KAPPIRE, is a brutally uncompromising 2D platformer that wears its philosophy on its sleeve. It exists not to gently guide players through a polished adventure, but to confront them with relentless precision challenges that must be earned through repeated failure, adaptation, and mastery. From the moment the first level loads, the game makes its intentions unmistakable—hazards are spaced tightly, jumps must be exact, and the margin for error is practically nonexistent. It belongs to the tradition of intentionally punishing platformers, but instead of relying solely on cruelty or shock value, it builds its identity around meticulous mechanical design and the satisfaction that comes from gradually overcoming the impossible. At its core, Hard as Hell revolves around fundamental platforming tools—running, jumping, mid-air correction, wall interactions, and careful momentum control. There are no flashy combat systems, narrative diversions, or ability trees to distract from the experience. This simplicity is intentional, ensuring that the difficulty emerges from the environment rather than from layered mechanics. Every stage becomes…

A fun little DOOM clone about the Rooftop Koreans, lasts as long as it should but there are annoying bugs that damage some of the enjoyment. 7/10
