Hello Lady! - Complete Edition

This game starts off with a strong common route, but for some reason each subsequent route is somehow worse than the last, culminating towards the final route which is... really bad. It's still fun as being something to pass the time though, so I'll recommend this game but just for that. Overall: [+] Fully voiced MC with a strong personality. Actually, this entire VN is carried by the protagonist. [+] The superpower aspects of the VN is... serviceable. Nice nicee nice, very nice VN. It's been a while since last time I got hooked read VN with much anticipation. This is what VN i need: Perfect pacing good character writing Good story Perfect protagonist And moreover, perfect heroines almost all route is enjoyable to read(other than true route, ehm!) and the way they put fight is easy to understand and very enganging. I am not even realize most of the fight can take an hour because how good it is. The plot basically almost same, just with different conclusion, and every time 'that' part was played, new twist for the antagonist motive shown up. I can't in good conscience recommend HELLO LADY! solely because the protagonist is an impulsive molester which is played off for laughs, and one of the routes has essentially non-con that's ultimately played off as a good thing (not started by the protagonist). HOWEVER if you are willing to look past that then I do recommend this story. It is really funny at points, very compelling, and has some really interesting plot developments and plot twists. I've only played the original 4 routes at time of this review, and will finish the others. I wouldn't say this game is perfect but it's definitely way more involved than what the simple title of "HELLO LADY" might evoke. It's actually thriller mystery lightly centered about romances. If they took out the protagonist reflexively molesting women because he's an eroge protag then this would be like a 9/10 experience. There are interesting themes on resolve, revenge, and what it means to be human. I wouldn't say it's life changing or incredibly profound but it is at least inspiring. The characters' pupils need to be larger. They look like stiffs when they are that tiny. Other than that, it is great; awesome even. The English translation is marred with errors like "bare ill will" and not knowing the difference between pavers and steps.

Not what I expected but a good read

If you want to play visual novels for the story, this game has a really great and compelling story. However, I will note that to progress and to complete the game fully, the routes for each of the heroines need to be played in order. It is very unique from other games that hands the reins to the player, and can be slightly annoying if you don't know the order in which they're supposed to be played (cause how are you supposed to know that??) Otherwise, it is worth checking out especially on a sale.
