About Hero Hours Contract
Magical girls are real, but the pay sucks! Join the Union of Magical Girls as they fight to protect the city from evildoers by day, and fight to become unionised by night.

Due to your overwhelming power levels, the enemies can't actually hurt you, so the focus is on defeating enemies as quickly as possible to gain higher rewards and bargaining power when the battle ends.
Of course, not all enemies are brainless zombies, and you'll have to contend with many abilities designed to impede your pursuit of a perfect score!
Outside of battle you'll be able to invest your precious time and money into building up your social links through visual novel style conversations:

How the heck are you supposed to have a social life with no money or free time? After every battle you'll get to lead the Union of Magical Girls in collective bargaining to determine your reward based on how well you fought and how many gems you gathered.
Don't let them take your dental plan! (DISCLAIMER: The Dental Plan is completely impossible to buy, please do not attempt.)
Features
- Take on the brainwashed zombie hordes in tactical, turn-based combat.
- Your magical familiars gave you these powers, but now they expect you to fight evil for free? Negotiate better pay or employment benefits based on your performance.
- Get to know the inhabitants of the struggling convenience store where you and your family live and work. Power up your abilities by making new social connections.
- Loaded with dorky humour and 90s magical girl anime tropes.

super fun and cute game. UNIONIZE!1 found this helpful
I really like this game, I had a lot of fun with it! I found it through the woke game detector bc im woke and I was very curious about the premise. How does one handle union matters in a magical girl setting? Turns out, the writers put some thought into it and its handled really well! Basically
the girls withhold tokens earned by defeating enemies, rather than withholding the life saving labour. The beach levels also tackle beauty standarts in a really cool way, without being cruel to anyone. It was just so oddly refreshing seeing someone ponder if its rational to strive to achieve a large green head rather than a thin waist.
A lot of thought went into the writing and I really appreciate it! Also enby villain??? Omg im in love???? <3 Edit: omg, i almost forgot, there´s also a character whose affections you earn by accepting that they don´t want to hang out today and its treated as not a big deal and that did kind of make me emotional because I´m like that too. I´ve never seen that in a game before. Like, its such a small detail but it really resonated with me <3 I´ve never played this kind of turn based game before so the tutorial wasn´t really enough for me to …1 found this helpful
A nice fun game. The art style is cute, game mechanic is interesting but the gameplay is grindy with 3 territories and a tower to play. Im still curious about that dental plan tho. The dev said its impossible to get but im not really sure that its impossible because its capped at for example 999999 or its just impractical to get it.1 found this helpful
"Hero Hours Contract" is a failed, poorly made 2D retro pixel (ugh) turn based brawler with a political agenda, and of course while I probably agree with the concept there, I'm always adamant that gaming is no place to push any kind of political agenda, right or wrong. What do you do in the game? It's an unusual game with elements of RPG, finance management, narrative, turn based brawling on square grid levels... there's a lot going on, and complexity and depth is always welcome, but in this case it's a wasted effort due to the dismally poor technical implementation. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Worse, the use of pixelcrap isn't even consistent, which shows the developer could do better but chose not to, and also makes the game look utterly inauthentic. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the ba…1 found this helpful
Thumbs down for obvious reasons
