About Heroes For Hire - Guild Micromanagement Simulator
Heroes For Hire is an incremental business management game focused around building a dungeon raiding guild from the bottom up with the GuildOS system.
Managing a guild won't be easy as it sounds, though! When running any business, you already have to worry about your employees, your customers, your finances and your living quarters. Just imagine what could go wrong when you start bringing dungeons, fantasy and magic into the picture, too!Do you have what it takes to run the number one guild in the county? If so, you can prove it by competing in tournaments and competitions with rival guilds to determine who really is Raiders Digest's top guild of the week!Employees are the life blood of any business. After all, how are you going to raid dungeons when you don't have any dungeon raiders on the payroll?

- Recruit and manage a team of heroes with their set of skills, personality and stats to help them during raids and tournaments.
- Craft, buy and find equipment and weaponry that can tie-in roles and niches for the team and guild.
- Make sure to keep the needs of your employees well met by adjusting their wages, schedule and living quarters.
- Make and upgrade your heroes' equipment using materials scavenged in raids and on gathering missions.
- Craft the necessary tools needed to help your heroes out on their adventures, such as potions, bombs and relics.
- Build the furniture needed to turn your guild from a shack to a castle fit for a hero of any calibre.
- Expand your guild's living quarters with furniture that has been bought, found and crafted.
- Raise your guild's reputation to attract more guest merchants and services with stringent housing requirements.
- Build more rooms to improve the quality of life for your heroes, and unlock some upgrades at the same time.

Heroes for Hire is a neat little management sim that is truly unique and stands out among other games that have tried similar things. I kept away from purchasing the game for a while as the demo is a HORRIBLE introduction to the game, it is confusing, disorienting and lacks any kind of direction to the point it feels like a waste of time. However this is fixed when purchasing the game. While there still remains a lot of things that maybe could be better communicated or displayed and maybe crafting is still a little awkward and confusing it's 100x better due the game actively showing you how these things work and then allowing you to figure out the rest. Essentially you are a guild manager and your job is to task your heroes on what raids they should be doing and making sure they are prepped accordingly. Now the confusing part about the 'heroes' is I can't tell what they are supposed to be, on a surface level they are real people who have to sleep and have normal names however they don't have character names yet they have in game style portraits so it's unclear on whether you are managing them through a game or if it's a gameification of their 'real world', either way it doesn't ma…6 found this helpful

I think there is a ton of potential here. Seems like some of the review requests listed have been addressed, there is a legible font option, and there are some game modes/goals that seem to have been added. i haven't yet tried them, instead working through the sandbox to learn the game. Scratching the surface, this is definitely a game that i'll be watching and playing as the EA is developed.2 found this helpful
Can't wait for future updates. It was a little tricky understanding scheduling but I was running 24 hour shifts of murderhobos in no time.2 found this helpful
complex, intricate game with lots of interconnected systems. love the retro OS aesthetic
NO direction, NO reason to do anything, NO actual explanation of mechanics. this is barely a game, much less early access. Steam shouldn't put early access games as part of bundles, now i cant even get my money back.
