✦ AI summary

Players praise Fruit Ninja IRL's creative and rhythmic combat system that rewards timing and skill rather than button-mashing, along with its appealing art style, music, and accessible difficulty for different age groups. Common complaints center on visual clarity during hectic moments, UI placement that's hard to track during fast-paced action, repetitive stage layouts across runs, and some remaining janky mechanics as the game is still early in development. Overall, players find the core gameplay loop genuinely fun and worth the price despite these rough edges.
FRUIT NINJA IRL
It's not so much about fresh ideas as it is a new and clever twist on familiar gameplay in today's indie scene — that's pretty rare. This game is a fast-paced first-person slasher where you play as a furry fox slicing up monstrous fruits. A big plus is that there's no excessive gore or blood — this moderate level of violence makes the game fun for both adults and younger players. Essentially, it's a simplified roguelike: you go through four stages (ten waves of monsters in each stage), at the end of which bosses await. The combat system here isn’t just about mindless button-mashing. Sword swings are tied to timing, so you need to follow the rhythm. There’s a dash that lets you pass through enemies, and a parry mechanic: if you block an attack or shot at the right moment, you trigger hand-shot magic. The upgrade system is pretty straightforward too: you collect seeds to boost permanent perks and gold to buy stuff during a run. It’s super handy that you can 'freeze' a shop bonus you like if you don’t have enough cash right now — it cuts down on the random luck. Besides that, there’s a recipe mechanic: during a run, you get cards that can be upgraded u…

I think this is (and will be) a good game, as any game that starts with a Panda Bear launcher should be. I'm not exactly practiced with this style of game, so most of my issues come from conflicting mental maps for controller layout, or just not being used to the situational awareness needed to monitor all directions at once. Aside from that, the mechanics seem to flow together well, and the various weapons are currently fun. I'm very curious to see how much lore will end up being added in the full version, but even without it the concept is fun enough.

Pretty cool and enjoyable rogulite! Runs don't take long to complete and you definitely feel yourself getting stronger with each one. tl;dr - pretty cheap and fun, feels good to play, totally recommended Now, for some details: I enjoy the visual style and find the graphics pretty neat. The performance is quite good, i never had any issue with not having enough frames or them not being stable enough. Music ranges from being ok (but the good side of ok) to being quite good. There isn't too much varierty, but music shuffles each level (every couple of minutes) and is kinda dynamic, so it's not too big of a deal. Gameplay loop is solid, and the random ranged/melee/buff items make every run feel pretty neat and give a decent amount of variety even with (for now) somewhat limited content. You could totally get a somewhat niche, but powerful item early in the run and have a weird but also pretty powerful build to have fun with. The melee combo and movement systems are pretty easy to get into, but take some runs to master. They let you feel really cool when you pull something crazy off (which you will often). Since most of the time you're kind of a glass cannon, running and jumping ar…

I like it! The pumpkins never fail to obliterate me, but it was cool for me to realize you could knock the bananas' projectiles back. I'll totally recommend this game to people I know. I'll probably edit this to go more in-depth soon

The game is good. It is unique, creative and fast.
The good
1. Gameplay 2. Creativity 3. Music 4. Developer and community 5. Tutorial 6. Bosses and enemies. 7. UI is great
The okay/bad
1. It's sometimes hard to tell what's going on. 2. Runs can feel repetitive. It's totally worth it for 10 dollars, and even more worth it on sale.

I love this game. It's going to get even better. a small suggestion would be to customize your UI. in fast past games like this, I tend to over look my health unless its right in my line of sight. Also, your music has a beat that slows down in a way that it feels like I'm running out of time for something. The core gameplay loop is fun, but the same stages over again after each death can be a bit tedious making the player lose interest. Update; Steam Cloud needs to be added. It would be great to pick my game up where i left off. I started the game on my ROG Ally X and was wondering why I had to do the intro again.
