✦ AI summary
Fight your way through a bizarre plant empire overrun with sentient fruits in this roguelike dungeon crawler, gathering weapons and resources to expand your base camp solo or with friends. Stunning hand-crafted art and procedurally generated zones create a colorful, unpredictable adventure where humanity's survival hangs in the balance.
The Order of Things... Disrupted"Many years in the future, humanity looks upward in despair at plants, now standing atop the food chain. How could they have been so arrogant..."
Only when plants began sprouting arms and legs and developing self-awareness did humanity truly begin to understand the menace that these once photosynthesis-dependent creatures posed. No one could understand how the plants took this large evolutionary leap in such a short time, something that took their animal counterparts millions of years to accomplish. One thing is certain, now is the time for humanity to make their stand in order to stay at the top of the food chain.
GameplayAs one of the first explorers of the newly discovered plant empire, you must continuously drive deeper and deeper into the enemy's lair. Defeat bizarre and colorful fruits while retrieving new gear, weapons, and resources to defend yourself and expand your base camp.
If you're unable to defeat the overwhelming destructive force of the plant army alone, invite a few friends to lend a hand and help you discover the secrets behind this strange new world.

Another good roguelike that doesn't overstay its welcome. You can complete a full run on your first or second try. To get all achievements you'll need to do some grinding, but it's not tedious work since the core gameplay is just pure fun, although a bit on the easier side (which is a plus if you want a fairly chill game). This game shines with its art style and animations. There are a lot of different weapons. Some are just plain bad and clunky, while others can rip through enemies and bosses in seconds. You can complete a full run in about 25-40 minutes if you fully explore all rooms. (This game lacks content variety and length.)The biggest downside is that you can't start with different (random) weapons; you're always stuck with the one that's assigned to your chosen character. This makes the start of many runs feel very similar. Not being able to re-roll shop items is another feature that's missing in this game. Cool little game.2 found this helpful
Juicy Realm is the kind of game that grabs your attention before you even fire the first shot. Developed by SpaceCan and published by XD, it embraces a wonderfully absurd premise—sentient fruit have risen to claim the top of the food chain—and uses that absurdity as the foundation for a fast, colorful, and highly accessible twin-stick roguelike shooter. From the opening cutscene to the first chaotic firefight, the game makes its tone unmistakably clear: this is a lighthearted, cartoon-styled romp built on a rock-solid action core. The visual identity is one of its most immediate strengths. Enemies burst into slices, ooze juice instead of blood, and animate with expressive flair. Each zone feels distinct yet cohesive, unified by the vibrant palette and crisp character art that make Juicy Realm stand out even among a crowded field of indie shooters. The moment-to-moment gameplay delivers exactly what a twin-stick roguelike should: brisk movement, tight dodging, constant gunfire, and a steady flow of pickups to keep each run feeling energized. You choose from a roster of characters, each equipped with a unique passive ability or signature item, and dive into randomly generated stages…1 found this helpful
I’m always so grateful for games with actual art direction. Juicy Realm is a great looking game, its cartoony style perfectly complementing its gonzo plot about an evil extraterrestrial tree seed falling on earth and causing all fruit to come alive and wage war on humanity. You must fight your way through heavily-armed apples, pears, and avocados in order to destroy the tree and turn all the fruit back into fruit. Tonewise it reminded me a lot of Unholy Heights — it knows exactly what it is and it leans as far into it as it can. This game is pretty fun, and its relative small dungeon — four main floors plus a small final boss realm — makes it great for short playthroughs. The 10 characters all feel very different, and some of their powers are pretty off-the-wall, like the girl who can summon a mech suit and the one who can dual wield. I liked the variety and the balancing, and also liked that the character upgrades could be small but also be juuust enough to push you meanigfully forward. I also enjoyed the logbook and variety of very practical achievements as some extrinsic motivators (though I wish there weren’t co-op ones…). I always felt like I knew what I was trying to accomp…
Absolutely cute and fantastic with solid gameplay, bosses, and weapons. Worth it just for the art alone!
why pray tell would you have this charming game, with this charming artstyle and solid gameplay and have TREES on the maps that you can see through? that hide characters and more importantly, PROJECTILES flying through them ? what amount of hallucinogens brought you to that design decision? these questions are rhetorical, because there is NO way you explain that to me.
