UPDATE: IT WORKS NOW!! I enjoyed playing this game back when I was a kid, but I can't recommend it because I am unable to get past the menu screen. I tried to google some fixes, but none of my attempts worked. :( When I press the play button, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. This is the only steam game that has given me this error.

The game in itself is awesome, but it crashes constantly to the point of sometimes you're not even able to move past the main menu.

EDIT: on June 13th 2023, the launching issues with this game have finally been fixed, because of this, i will now scrap my negative review with a positive review (i'll probably write more once i finish the game or when i'm not too lazy lol) this game is a genuinely very fun puzzle type of game and you should definitely buy it, trust me, you won't regret it.

Hoggy 2 is a deceptively simple yet remarkably robust puzzle-platformer that takes a single core idea and stretches it across a surprisingly large and thoughtful experience. Developed and published by Raptisoft, the game builds upon its mobile roots and expands them into a full-featured title that feels equally comfortable as a casual pick-up-and-play experience or a longer, more deliberate puzzle journey. At its heart, it is a game about understanding space, momentum, and perspective, wrapped in a cheerful aesthetic that belies the clever challenge hidden beneath. The premise is intentionally light and whimsical. Players control Hoggy and Hogatha, two lovable slime-like creatures whose children have been abducted by the bizarre Moon Men. This setup serves mostly as a narrative excuse to guide players through a sprawling collection of puzzle stages rather than as a story meant to carry emotional weight. Still, the playful tone and expressive character animations give the adventure personality, making progression feel charming rather than purely mechanical. The focus remains firmly on gameplay, but the context adds warmth and humor that help maintain engagement over long sessions. …

I can't even play the game. It just crashes when I try to go into the game.
