About Hop Step Sing!
With dreams of eternal stardom, Niina Nijikawa turned her karaoke practice into a reality, becoming a bona fide idol. She's joined by Mikasa Minowa, who thrives on public adoration and stays engaged with her fanbase through video uploads and live streams. Rounding out the trio is Shikiri Shishiba, the caretaker of the group.

Behind the Scenes
Kodansha have gathered some of the best creative talents in anime, CG and music for Hop Step Sing!'s first foray into the world of J-Pop.
Character and set designer, tanu, is an up-and-coming illustrator with several anime and manga to his credit (Tari Tari and Flip Flappers, etc), with Polygon Pictures (Emmy Award winning Star Wars: The Clone Wars) faithfully recreating his designs in 3D. The musical side is handled by the prolific Yashikin (Is the Order a Rabbit?, High School Fleet amongst others) with production by Lantis (Love Live! series) and the vocal talents of Sashide Maria, Toribe Mariko and Hioka Natsumi.

These Hop Step Sing! "games" are well made but very expensive for the amount of time you're likely to spend in them. The only one that's worth considering even at a discount is the Summer Vacation one, and this is coming from a filthy degenerate.1 found this helpful
The same songs are also in the concerts, which are a better "bundle" for the money and they let you walk around and watch from different price. I still bought several of the old "single songs" to check out the special effects and to compare against the later ones that have more interactivity, and I liked the effects of the part where everyone sinks into the water. This game contains a single song that is only a few minutes long, though their debut song "Kisekilkiteki Shining" was much catchier.
My favorite song so far! Hope they continue to make more!
The brightness of the HQ version of the game is generally too high! I hope the developers can lower the brightness because it's straining my eyes.
Super entertaining music and dance anime video in VR - The developer has no idea how people like this "Virtual" pop music group and how much money they can be making.
