Into The Core

"Into The Core" is a sincerely but badly made 3D platformer with two main gimmicks, gravity manipulation (done better by dozens of better platformers) and a mechanism where you can shoot yourself in any direction. This game is so bad that shooting myself almost seemed appealing, yeah. Kidding. What do you do in the game? You navigate a series of 20 levels, muck around with the sloppy gravity physics, look at the bad assets and quickly uninstall. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I guess at least we can take some consolation that none of the game assets are flipped... no self respecting content creator would publish them. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as …

Игра 'Into the Core' зацепила с первых минут своей динамичной механикой и пиксельной графикой, выполненной в приятной цветовой палитре. Геймплей, в котором мы бурим землю в поисках ресурсов и попутно отбиваемся от подземных монстров, невероятно затягивает. Прокачка бура и экипировки ощущается значимой, позволяя продвигаться все глубже и глубже в ядро планеты. Отдельно хочется отметить разнообразие врагов и боссов. Каждый из них требует уникального подхода и делает игру непредсказуемой. Сложность растет постепенно, что не отбивает желание играть, а наоборот, мотивирует искать новые тактики и улучшения. Несмотря на простоту графики, в игре присутствует отличная система освещения и детализация окружающей среды, создающие атмосферу настоящего приключения в недрах земли. Единственный минус, который можно отметить, - это некоторая однообразность локаций, но она компенсируется динамичным геймплеем и постоянной сменой врагов. В целом, 'Into the Core' – это отличный представитель жанра, который способен увлечь на долгие часы. Рекомендую всем любителям динамичных аркад с элементами RPG.
