About Into the Necrovale

Your fate hangs in the balance as The Stranger, a condemned criminal chosen by the All-Father himself. Preserve this tired world or destroy it, and the choice is yours.
The hopeless, the lost, the drowned and forgotten, all must obey one rule: fight to survive. Generations of unwanted criminals and degenerates lurk in the dark corners of the Necrovale.
The Necrovale is filled with powerful relics left behind by those whose story ended in the depths. Collect these weapons, armor, shields, staffs, jewelry, totems, hats, books, and other tchotchkes as you follow in their footsteps.
Along your journey, you will meet other prisoners. The crimes and failures that brought them to the Necrovale are their own business. Reserve your judgement, however, as you might find yourself depending on these strange and broken creatures to survive.

Good action hack and slash RPG with an intricate item build system that basically lets you combine different weapons and items to customize your character as you see fit. I'd suggest not going overboard with combining a lot of effects and particles since the game can slow down and from what I see in other reviews even crash but I went with a build centered around bows and status effects and it worked out great and had none of those issues. Once you beat the final game boss there's more to do if you want to 100% the 'achievements' but its best just enjoy the ride and once its over move on. Beating 90 progressively more difficult level runs to get that final achievement seems like a total waste of time. Heck more fun to just start a new game and try a totally different build. The roguelike mode is solid as well... was having a nice run but died like 75%+ on the way to the first run before the witch trials mostly due to not getting a shopkeeper entrance for the 2nd half of my run... RNG do be like that.

Very interesting game, it's giving me strong Diablo 1 and Gauntlet vibes with a small touch of Tiny Rogues. There is the standard mode where you can play it like a normal arpg like Diablo or Titan Quest etc but you are still incentivized not to die too much because there is a system in place that punishes the player although not too severe. I'd say it's a happy medium between softcore and hardcore. There is also a traditional roguelike mode and you lose everything on death. Nice 2d pixel art, decent sfx and gfx, controls feel responsive with keyboard and mouse. There are tons of items and synergies, a lot more depth than what i was expecting! For me the price is a bit high compared to it's competition but i bought it on sale for much less than 14,79 and i'm quite happy with my purchase, i'm having a lot of fun. Thumbs up!

I went in expecting nothing at all, but was pleasantly surprised. This is a gem of a game.

This game is the worst piece of s*** that you can buy. The difficulty and sweat it requires are off the charts for any normal game. There is no high risk high reward, since the developer obviously dont know what that is. Avoid this trash no matter how cheap it is, since its not worthy even if its free.

Enemies wear roller blades so they can reliably spin a full 180 degrees and slide to hit you ten feet away with perfect tracking on the final frame of their attack. Looks and feels terrible every time it happens. Manageable by ensuring enemies don't get a chance to stagger their attacks, which unsurprisingly sucks as a combat model. If I wanted to play a game of "don't get roll-caught by teleporting poorly-animated enemies" I'd load up dark souls invasions on wifi.

this game is fun to play and overall experiments. unfortunately said experiment is limited due to the game performance will be tank because of huge amount projectiles which really hamper the experience. i would like to have a yes and no game, cause the limitation is pretty much a con that really halts my experience, especially if i want to go for the final achievement which is a bit difficult cause almost any attack is a one shot. i would still recommend this game under the expectation if you are willing to deal with the performance issues.
