Seeing Shibuya made me realise how much I missed Japan.6 found this helpful
Steam Deck Experience: Playable
You'll get pestered about the screen resolution every time the game opens and you'll need to use the touch screen or configure mouse controls. Other than that the game seems fully functional.
Review
I only recommend this because it is free, it clearly has some effort put into it, and it was interesting overall. You only lose a bit of time by reading it and figuring out if you want to continue the story with the complete package. I just couldn't get into the story myself and the VN had a few mechanics that, while unique, massively broke story immersion/flow and I really disliked. The red text that you click on and it pops out into extra stuff that gives you memory fragments completely takes you out of the story. Some of the character decisions made no sense or maybe they were poorly explained at why it was made. Finally, and this is completely IMO, but it seemed a bit lame that
Fuka just came out of the gate knowing how to use magic AND knowing how to use it well enough to stand up against the witch. Talking god stuffed in the ring or not
, knowing is one thing, but being able to apply it effectively would be a who…1 found this helpful
I let the game idle quite a bit, actual read time was 7:15. Iris Odyssey is a bit of an uneven story with a surprisingly satisfying ending. That's the short way to describe Iris Odyssey. While cute, this is not a yuri story to be clear, there are some romantic undertones but there are no romantic relationships that occur during this story (Although I'm sure due to one very late scene people will argue otherwise, the resolution of which is never made clear in story and therefore does not occur in story). It's much more of an older sister / younger sister or parent / child relationship - which is good because one of the protagonists is 12 and the other is 22, which is a bit too creepy for me. With all that said, here's the highlights Positives: -Magic story that makes sense (mostly)! -Music is good -Both protagonists - and most characters even - are likeable -Very satisfying ending to me - although this one will be VERY opinion based. Neutral: -All the splitting of sub stories and the epilogue being separated - some people will love this, some won't, I didn't like the epilogue being separated into "Secret" but enjoyed the substories. You don't have to read them, but I'd hig…1 found this helpful
