✦ AI summary

Players praise Onirism as an ambitious, charming action-platformer with impressive content variety, colorful presentation, fun gunplay, and nostalgic references that punches above its weight for the price. However, they consistently note the game is held back by significant technical rough edges including janky platforming, performance issues, resolution/graphics menu problems, and control binding conflicts that make it feel unpolished even after release, though many still find the core gameplay rewarding enough to overlook these flaws.

A fun retro gaming throwback shooter/platformer with a wide variety of variations on the core gameplay and level design. Light on tutorials the game expects you to have been playing video games for years, decades based on the genre callbacks it makes. Difficulty can be inconsistent.

Massive levels and a seemingly endless amount of content. It's fun but it's easy to get lost. Runs well but the VRAM usage is always around 10-16GB (Very High, 1440p) which is probably the cause for the performance issues many people seem to have.

I like this game, but do not play as much as i want to because of the controls. you cannot map mouse side buttons and there are zero toggle options for dashing. this can be fixed by having dashing separate from sprint and have more options to set toggles for keys and having side mouse buttons mappable, other than that this game is amazing.

cool game but EXTREMELY unoptimized, maybe give it some more time in the oven OST is a banger tho

Fun, it's like metroid prime and serious sam combined. I had a game breaking bug but the dev fixed it after a day or two. Very colorful and pretty looking areas.

Man! This game is soo fustratingly short of being great, it really is, now I'm talking strictly from the Adventure mode and only some levels in but the biggest problem in this game both literally and figuritively is the size of the open world areas, they are WAYY too big, they will take miniutes to cross with checkpoints scarsely in proximity with no 'breadcrumb trail' or minimap or any on-screen indicator to your next objective and it's that, that greatly hinders from you progressing from story beat to story beat and it's sooo fustrating because this game is GOOD, the combat, weapons where the strategy is balancing the ammo types with the weapon type equivilants along with various gadgets you can all tune to your playstyle, the gameplay and tone is there. If ONLY the Adventure mode could streamline the open world section by putting more icons on the map and providing a visual que of a direct route to your objective, I would consider this from 'good' to 'great'.
