I am the winner. First one to complete the game after it being published on steam. Very impressive for a student project, I personally enjoyed the Liar's Dice portion the most. The 2D characters in a 3D world is a fun idea but hard to pull off. The feeling of the "Heavy" attack feels better than the "Light" attack do to the axis the attack comes out on. All in all congrats on releasing this game. Great job
The game Iron Dusk Path of Honor that truly captures your attention! Hit and run! The combat in the Colosseum was amazing! I'm addicted to the dice game! And the cinematics that initially led me to believe it was a mobile game!
Iron Dusk: Path of Honor is a surprisingly stylish medieval action adventure that I enjoyed mainly because of its unusual visual approach. I play as a fallen knight trying to reclaim his honor after betrayal, traveling through a war torn kingdom filled with cultists, pirates and supernatural threats. The combat mixes two dimensional and three dimensional elements, which gives the fights a distinctive feel. I have to attack, block and react to enemies in real time, so timing matters more than simply choosing an option from a menu. I enjoyed learning enemy patterns and looking for openings, especially during the arena battles where the focus is completely on surviving the fight. The environments are varied enough to keep the journey moving. I travel through arenas, pirate towns, dungeons and other hostile locations while following the larger quest for redemption. I liked that the game does not stay in one setting for too long because the hybrid presentation feels more effective when the scenery changes around me. The story is another strong point. The campaign is fully nar…
