Isagi's Bartending Diary is a charming, character-driven visual novel that combines the atmospheric bartending concept of VA-11 HALL-A with the personalities and relationships of Blue Lock. Rather than focusing on competitive football, the game explores a more personal side of its characters through casual conversations, emotional discoveries, and the everyday responsibilities of running a bar. Developed by 戏言Bobo and Aaron栩生阿龙, with 戏言Bobo handling publishing duties, this free fan-made project presents an unusual crossover that prioritizes storytelling over complicated mechanics. Its appeal comes from offering familiar characters a different environment where their relationships can develop beyond the pressures of competition. The story follows Isagi as he returns to the Blue Lock bar following a mysterious three-month absence. Reunited with Bachira, he resumes his bartending responsibilities while gradually confronting unanswered questions about his past. What initially appears to be an ordinary return to work develops into a narrative filled with personal revelations and meaningful conversations. Customers visit the establishment with their own experiences and concerns, allowin…

Isagi's Bartending Diary is a pretty unusual fan game, but I actually like what it is trying to do. I am playing as Isagi after he comes back to work at the Blue Lock bar following a three month break. Bachira is working alongside him, and most of the game is about serving drinks, talking to customers and slowly finding out more about what happened in the past. It is very much a story focused game, so I went into it expecting the conversations to matter more than the actual bartending. The VA 11 HALL A influence is really obvious, but I think it fits the Blue Lock characters surprisingly well. I get to interact with different characters from Blue Lock while listening to their problems and conversations, and the bar gives everyone a good excuse to actually sit down and talk. I liked this slower approach because it gives the characters room to show a different side of themselves instead of everything being about football. The pixel art also suits the setting nicely and gives the whole thing a cosy but slightly strange atmosphere. The drink making is simple, but I think it works for what the game is trying to be. I am not spending most of my time worrying about complicated drink rec…
