Kautic - The Bald Wizard

⠀ "Kautic - The Bald Wizard" is an indie plat-former by "Bad Coffee Games", which also brought you "RATUZ" and "PhoToq" (both of which are considerably better games). As for this one, I would give it a neutral review if I could due to partial accuracy, there is indeed a bald wizard in the game that is called Cautic with a K, likely a clever reference to either "Chaotic" denoting chaos magick (spelled with a K) or "Caustic" denoting incisive sarcasm. While this is a good use of etymology and the devs deserve recognition for the intelligent name, I sadly still can't recommend "Kautic - The Bald Wizard", as I believe the game's many flaws and defects push it far below the standards PC gamers have come to expect. The controls of "Kautic - The Bald Wizard" are severely limited, no modern graphic options such as Ray Tracing by NVIDIA, no multiplayer and no modding support. All these are great additions that when properly implemented, enhance PC gaming and make it truly shine. A game like "Kautic - The Bald Wizard" would be better suited for mobile gaming, where quality control is not a concern and the target demographic is very young children or unsavory simpletons. Bought this for the steam cosmetics. ended up being a lot of fun. I love that game progression is marked by how many unique things you have killed.

I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. Even if it's a fun game in my eyes and the possibility to observe your game progress with freeing your village was a nice touch, I can't recommend it for following reasons: - the game's way too short (beat it completely in 2.7 hours) - there's a bug in which a female, elderly villager (his wife considering to the achievement) doesn't say anything to you if you try to talk with her and even worse: the game creator doesn't care about fixing it or at least telling what she actually says. Therefore no, I can't recommend it. If it would be for free, I wouldn't have said anything bad about it (except for the game creator's lack of customer's interests).
