Особенно понравилась возможность дипломатических маневров – заключать союзы, подставлять соперников, развязывать войны, все как в настоящей политике. Графическое исполнение лаконичное, но приятное, не отвлекает от самого геймплея. Изначально настораживало обилие микротранзакций, но, к счастью, они не критичны для прохождения. Можно вполне комфортно играть и без доната, просто это потребует больше времени и тактического мышления. Не хватает, пожалуй, более глубокой кастомизации своей фракции и разветвленной системы исследований. Однако, учитывая цену игры, об этом грех жаловаться. В целом, это отличная игра для любителей пошаговых стратегий, позволяющая почувствовать себя настоящим властелином мира. Рекомендую!

King of the World is a real time strategy game that takes the basic idea of RISK and speeds it up quite a lot. I am taking control of a country, expanding into nearby regions and trying to take over the whole map while managing money, reinforcements and technology. The main difference is that I am not taking turns waiting for everyone else to move. Everything is happening in real time, so I have to make decisions quickly and keep watching the map instead of slowly planning every move. I actually like that because it makes a familiar strategy idea feel much more active. The region system is probably the part I find most interesting. Taking individual areas is useful, but controlling every point inside a region gives me extra income and reinforcements, so I have to think about whether I should spread out or finish taking control of an area. That gives the map a nice push and pull because sometimes holding one region is more valuable than grabbing a random extra piece of land somewhere else. I also have three different armies to choose from, each based around a different era and style, so I can change how I approach the game instead of using exactly the same strategy every time. I a…
