About Knightczech: The beginning

✦ AI summary

Master brutal platforming challenges across the war-torn kingdoms of Euritia, where only your sword and skill will keep you alive through sun-soaked forests, ravaged battlefields, and dark undergrounds. Choose between pure platforming gauntlets, a story-driven campaign with character progression and merchants, or permadeath challenges that demand flawless execution from veteran players.

Knightczech is an adventurous 2D platformer in which the player explores various corners of kingdoms in Euritia world - from sun-drenched forests through the war-ravaged region to dark underworld.

NOTICE: This game was not meant to be easy. It will challange your platformer skills even with it's simple movement & level design. Only true veterans will be able to fully complete the game.
The game currently has three different modes - "Classic" mode, "Story" mode and "Challenger" mode.

Classic mode:

In classic mode, the player can dive into each of the three main areas of Euritia world in order to conquer the prepared challenges. The difficulty escalates along with progress to other levels of the area.

Each of the areas has different types of dangers or traps.

In this mode, your goal is to find and collect the long-lost swords of the Titans from ancient times in order to unlock more difficult levels.

Remember, you have no special powers. It is just you, your sword and iron armor.

Story mode:

Storyline consists of levels that will take you through the main (but also secondary) areas of Euritia world.

Your story begins in the middle of a war between two powerful kingdoms dominating Euritia. You are one of hundreds of ordinary soldiers for whom the whole war means only poverty, suffering and bloodshed.
But everything will change after you, as one of the few, survive a crushing battle in enemy territory - this is the beginning of the struggle for survival and the search for a way to try to change the course of you life in an already destructive and long-lasting war.

In this game mode, players have available features such as inventory, improving their character and abilities, merchants with items, hidden places with treasures, various enemy units including several major villains, character dialogues, storytelling and much more.

There are available four Chapters of Story mode in current build.

Other features

The game can offer you various features to explore such as difficulty settings (novice and veteran difficulty), permanent death challenge, tutorial levels to learn the game and much more.
Before I played Knightczech, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
This game is actually pretty good. Multiple modes to choose from, plenty of levels to beat. Some areas are pretty hard to master, but so far I had no bigger problems. Once you get used to the style of combat and movement this game offers, it is a blast. Hitboxes can be sometimes a little clunky and sometimes you will overlook a trap due to other enviroment effects or particles, but that is not a big deal. Do not expect some deep-n-complex controls or abilities to use, just smash through the enemy lines with your sword and shield. The graphics is pleasant and overall enviroment feels good - a dark and a little grim fantasy. Anyone who likes challenging yet simple platformer games should give this a try.

Excellent game, in so many aspects, fantastic job Fridolin Slehacka ! Rather hard at times, but enjoyed it thoroughly. Disclosure and spoiler: 67 y.o. here, too slow for hard games, I use cheat engine, knowing I can finish all beautiful games such as this one, so buying more of them. (If it's difficult for you, don't leave it, try C.E.: all relevant addresses are 4 bytes, Exact, some screen values change on picking up, etc )

I liked play this game! My favorite was the character design. My skinny little spider legs let me fly high in the sky ✨. The dialogue was a real high point. I loved the hidden danny devito and/or skyrim reference below the map. 𝓢𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓵𝔂, 𝓘𝓷𝓴𝓽𝓸𝓸

"Knightczech: The beginning" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Knightczech". Knightczech is something that was never actually made, I guess after the developer saw that gamers weren't actually desperate for yet another 2D retro pixel platformer (because there's over 17,000 of these on Steam already and nobody wanted those either), they gave up. Not before polluting Steam with this, unfortunately. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Knightczech, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Knightczech: The beginning" too. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store …
