KYOTO TANOJI QUEST is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog. Like all JRPG construction kit "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This is an abandoned Early Access attempt to fill out templates in RPG Creator to make a simple "adventure" game set in Kyoto, and this looks nothing like Kyoto (at the very least Kyoto isn't a bunch of pixelcrap). It's unfinished, and wow, RPG Creator really is 10 times worse than RPG Maker, isn't it? And RPG Maker is one of the worst things to happen in gaming, so that's quite an achievement. As with all RPG Creator games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Захватывающий геймплей сочетает платформер и головоломки, где игрок помогает герою преодолеть препятствия в волшебном городе. Графика выполнена в стиле рисунков, что добавляет уюта и атмосферы. Сюжет прост, но с юмористическими моментами и неожиданными поворотами. Увлекательно, особенно для любителей легких, но креативных игр. Минус — короткая кампания. В целом — отличный способ провести время в уютной атмосфере.
