Gion Corridor

More than a game... it's an interactive work of art! [i]Gion Corridor[/i] has the player explore a quaint little path in Kyoto... over and over again. They are to keep an eye out for 'anomalies.' Is everything the same? Was that there? Is this the same signage as before? Some anomalies are subtle and cute, while others are [b]gigantic[/b] and terrifying! It is a game of observation, and I [i]like[/i] what we are observing here! The 'corridor' in its namesake is full of detail and style. It's a great mid-poly, saturated look that is full of ambiance and mood, but is also one that is easy on the system requirements (I'm just on an Intel IrisXe integrated laptop). Keep those eyes peeled and ears open to learn what the ultimate anomaly is! [i]Gion Corridor[/i] is a short game—one run takes about an hour—but it is certainly worth at least one playthrough if you enjoy unique, art-house experiences that are full of details, texture, and, dare I say, [i]meaning.[/i]

It's fine. It's cheap. Short, but effective at what it aims to do. Walk through traditional japanese surroundings, look for anomalies, put a coin if you do find one, no if you don't. If you mess up, you gain more money, with your goal being gettting rid of your material burdens. The stylized graphics look nice. The Girl's VA sounds cute. The player character's model looks kinda ugly and out of place, but you only see it in the ending, so eh whatever.

Worth the little price tag and a lot of fun for a session or two! For those who might struggle with the "Drink a beer" achieve you need the grandma to appear in the shop and have 100 Yen (Just false report that there's no anomalies until you have enough)

A nice little anomaly game that confused me a bit at first as to what to do at the shrine (you have to click the offering box whether or not you intend to put in a coin) but the rest of the game makes up for that. Great scenery, very good anomalies, challenging but not overly difficult, and just a fun little game all around. If you like anomaly games and/or Japanese culture, this game is for you. 8/10

Simple but effective. Though admittedly rough around the edges and amateurish in places, there is creativity on display. It makes very good use of what it has and manages to create a good sense of atmosphere. I would consider it worth a playthrough for the price.
