Last Round at the End of the World

Fairly short, but very unique puzzle game. I really enjoyed it! I played on steam deck and didn't run into any major issues aside from the occasional drop in framerate. First the artstyle: I've only seen a handful of games use collages like this, and every time I wonder why more games don't do it. It makes all the characters look uncanny, adding to the eerie atmosphere. Great for Halloween season. The gameplay revolves around interpreting lines of poetry in order to figure out which person is wanted as a sacrifice. I'll admit that I have zero talent for interpreting poetry, but I still managed to get to the end. It was pretty fun, I can safely say I've never played a game like it. The story is a bit vague, but provides enough information for you to understand what's happening and why. There's also a few things you can find around the map that add further background information. I found four endings, I'm not sure if there's more. Overall, I definitely recommend it, though do keep in mind how short it is. I finished in just under two hours.

Really cool vibe. Poetic puzzles that I actually enjoyed figuring out (usually I don't). Good stuff!

i will have to update my review in the future, but i definitely think people should try this one out. while i haven't played too much of this game and have more to explore, i love the art of this game and having to decipher the poems and what people are saying is very fun.

Great atmosphere, very interesting visual design, and unique puzzle mechanics! If you're looking for something different, this is it!
