Players are divided on Layer Land, with some finding potential in its exploration and building mechanics, while the majority express serious frustration with significant technical issues. The dominant complaints center on poor optimization causing severe lag and bugs, unpolished graphics that appear AI-generated, and the game feeling like an inferior copy of Palworld at an unjustifiable price point. Those more positive note the core concept has promise and praise the developers' commitment to improvement, but most agree the game needs substantial work before being worth its current cost.
buggy and laggy as hell, just a copy of palworld - everything in this game looks very AI generated, there is no love for details at all.29 found this helpful
I was really hopeful about this game as I love creature collectors, that being said the game is awful. It looks bad lags terribly even on lowest settings (i play more demanding games on highest settings) refunded for now.11 found this helpful
I'm really enjoying Layer Land so far! The combination of exploration, survival, and building keeps the gameplay fresh. The AI companion system is surprisingly fun, and exploring a world based on real-world terrain feels unique. There are still some bugs and optimization issues, but the developers seem passionate and continue improving the game. If you enjoy sandbox survival games with interesting ideas, I definitely recommend giving Layer Land a try!8 found this helpful

I kept telling myself, “Just one more quest,” but before I knew it, two hours had flown by. I honestly didn’t even realize how much time had passed because I was having so much fun. One of the things I love most about Layerland is how relaxing it is. It’s the kind of game where you can completely forget about your daily stress, switch your brain off for a while, and just enjoy yourself. I found myself fully immersed the entire time, and it was the perfect way to unwind. The quests are very well designed. They’re easy to understand without feeling too simple, so progression feels smooth and rewarding. Every time I finished one quest, there was another fun objective waiting for me, which kept me wanting to play just a little longer. I also really enjoy the pet system. Each workshop has its own assigned pet, and those pets help reduce crafting time, making production much more efficient. It’s a simple but clever feature that adds another layer o…2 found this helpful
