About Legend of Swords II
‘Legend of Swords II’ is a traditional 2D Chinese-style turn-based RPG. The game features a variety of systems, including talents, forging, skills, pets, and achievement rewards. It offers five difficulty levels, and as the difficulty increases, the attributes of the equipment you obtain also increase. In extreme difficulty, monster stats can become insanely high, requiring you to strategically combine achievement attributes and reincarnation talents to make the challenge feasible. There are many clever skill combinations in the game, which can make gameplay relatively easier.

This is a wuxia-themed turn-based strategy RPG, but it seriously underdelivers. The gameplay is basically just: whoever has the higher level wins. The person with the higher level does more damage and that’s it. There’s barely any strategy involved, it feels like what an 8 year old Pokémon players do, grinding levels until you overpower everything. The English translation is horrible. It feels like they just threw the original Chinese into Google Translate. Some item names still literally have “jpg” or “png” in them. The art is also really inconsistent, with some characters and scenes being 2D while others are 3D. The character portraits even have a weird white outline around them during dialogue, like someone used Photoshop to remove the background but did it poorly. Combat is extremely basic. It honestly feels like a badly made RPG Maker game. You still get attacked even if you just stand still, which makes no sense. Some areas if you progress too far have enemies that outlevels you and outnumbers you by a long shot, the enemies basically gang up on you not even giving you the chance to fight back and if you die, your only options are to fight them again or go back to the menu…4 found this helpful
A fantastic game with fresh, beautiful visuals and an engaging storyline. The boss fights require real skill, and the different difficulty levels make it accessible for all kinds of players. It’s highly replayable. TL;DR - highly recommended!3 found this helpful
