Fantasy General II is an excellent turn-based strategy game with a huge amount of depth and variety. There are many different unit, abilities and tactical possibilities, and watching your army grow throughout the campaign is extremely satisfying. Amazing turn-based strategy game. So rich in terms of units and heroes variety. Also good story. Probably the best of his kind.

Bought it on sale for 7,80€ and I must say for that price it's worth it. I'm presumably close to the end of the main campaign but also very close to dropping it. Maps get too big and repetitive so it becomes a chore and there's less content towards the end. I played on normal difficulty so my whole army is upgraded to the max and there's no more feeling of progression. They're also powerful enough that I don't have to overthink my manoeuvres, but I imagine increasing the difficulty would make the enemies more health-spongey or just spawn more units and... that sounds like more work when I am already wishing to finish and move on. The first half of the game is fun, though, and it has that "just one more turn" effect on me. Writing isn't awesome but it isn't terrible either. Good enough for my taste.
