About Legends of Celestite RPG: The All Bearer
:VERSION 1.1:
Mana shall shatter and be reborn as drums pound to the rhythm of roses!A crimson darkness envelops the radiant moon above Azmoria, carving an indelible tale into the celestite archives. Fate intertwines two factions, setting the stage for an epic showdown of power. A new saga of heroes must unite to confront their intertwined pasts and a tumultuous present, as an unstoppable supervillain rises from the dead, intent on claiming dominion over all celestites/yokai souls. This is the first part of a two-part, story-driven RPG series based on a draft novel written by Raven Burns (Mr. Crumb). Legends of Celestite Part 1: The All Bearer weaves emotional, manga-style storytelling with classic JRPG adventure, set in a meticulously crafted, lore-rich, action-packed world inspired by late 80s and 90s anime culture.FEATURES:
TURN-BASED ELEMENTAL COMBAT! - Legends of Celestite RPG combines intense battles with a rich, dark-fantasy, "shonen-like" storyline. Each ally who joins the player can fill several roles in combat, such as Tank, DPS, Debuffer, Healer, or Supporter, or do whatever you want to do with them. The battle system also features element-based damage tactics that must be overcome by enhancing yourself with abilities. There are also special aura buffs, adding strategic depth when forming your favourite teams of three. There are a total of nine playable characters throughout part one.ANIMATED ATB BATTLE SYSTEM!- Experience dynamic, animated battle sprites in a fast and fluid ATB combat system. String together combo additions, charge your Cross-Skill Meter, and unleash powerful abilities. With no random encounters, battles appear in the world and can be avoided with ease.Collectibles and Secrets await you in Azmoria. Discover Abacus Tokens that help unlock the rarest items/weapons/armours and chests within the game!POWER & CONTROL! - Unlock abilities with CP (Celestite Points) and learn/empower your abilities the way you want to.Adventurer's notes: I strongly recommend playing the game in Window Mode. You can do this by pressing F3 on your keyboard to minimize the screen. You can still use Full-Screen while doing this. The game comes with character cards, concept art, wallpapers and more for personal non-commercial use.
Initial Thoughts
This game is very charming. Initially I was a bit overwhelmed with the dialogue it throws at you in the beginning, but it definitely gets better. About 3 and 1/2 hours in now, and I'm really invested. Good exploration, a story I don't feel I can properly judge (yet, it's still unfolding), fun combat, beautiful artwork, and lovely music. I'm honestly surprised this was me by one person, But I suppose it did take 8 years. All in all I think I can confidently recommend it based on where I'm at now.
Curator Page Thingy
I have a curator page if you're interested in some of the more unique RPG Maker games out there! Everything on it is something I bought personally with my own money, so no bias. I usually only put things I enjoyed playing, but if I didn't or I wanted to share something I personally didn't play (because it looked interesting), I'll mark it as informational. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45733614/3 found this helpful
Great game so far I am about 5 hours2 found this helpful
Posting the below review for friend from Steam library sharing (3 hours playtime at review): A friend introduced me to this game so I decided to give it a try despite not really having played these types of games before. Given the lack of reviews I figured I'd leave one since I'm quite enjoying the experience so far. Please note that give my lack of experience in these types of games I can't compare it to any other game, but what I can say is that the turn based combat alongside the retro graphics did give me quite a nostalgia hit that I never thought I needed. The combat music is also top notch, and overall ambience I'd say is pretty good as well (but I do especially like the combat music). Again, I can't compare this to any other games in the genre, but I imagine that if you enjoy games in this genre you'd enjoy this game as well.2 found this helpful
I'm 11 hours in at time of this review, and absolutely having a blast. Old school vibes with great turned based combat. There are some puzzle-like aspects as well. The story has been pretty amazing so far. I can't wait to see where the story leads!1 found this helpful
