About Lempo

“Sometimes you get truly lost. That's when you call someone, and they send rescue people to get you. But what if they can't find you? What if you are so lost, it is impossible for them to find you.
Do you believe in fantasy worlds? I didn't either. Until I found myself in one.”

Lempo is a psychological horror game inspired by Finnish mythology in which you play as Paul, your casual 9 to 5 guy, lost in a forest after his day of work. Uncover stories of people who were trapped in Metsänpeitto before. Make use of what little items you come by to find out what’s happening in this eerie place and go back to your peaceful life before this malevolent forest consumes you.

Explore Lempo’s forest

Metsänpeitto’s darkness is treacherous, light up your way with a lighter and flashlight to investigate environments filled with items to find and mysteries to unveil... But don’t go too fast or you’ll get lost, use your compass if you ever want to escape this damned forest. You will encounter souls during your journey in Lempo. Follow them! They might show and tell you clues you’re looking for.

Based on Finnish mythology

The story of Lempo lies in a dark fantastic world, Metsänpeitto. A plane kept together with souls’ energy received from living beings. This is no place for a human, do not dilly dally during your explorations as Metsänpeitto is a twisted realm where the laws of our world don’t matter. Or else you might encounter beings beyond the realm of possibilities.

An immersive psychological nightmare

Experience a living nightmare with Lempo’s shivering visual and sound atmosphere. Paul is unfortunately not daydreaming. To escape this uncanny forest you will have to face unspeakable events and beings beyond your imagination.

Lempo’s mysteries

You won’t need to fight to escape the forest, but you will have to decipher puzzles during your exploration. Dig deep in Metsänpeitto’s mysteries and solve every puzzle you find.

Will you escape Metsänpeitto physically and mentally intact?

Beautiful, atmospheric horror adventure puzzle game. No unnecessary jumpscares, just the growing sense of not knowing what is behind the next tree or boulder. Beautiful links to Finnish mythology and (as a Finn) a weird mixture of calmness and fear while roaming the dark forests. Puzzles are unique and quite challenging, and the story keeps you hooked! I want more!!

Awesome 1st game OneTrick! It's a 1st person puzzle/walking sim...obviously a passion project from devs who love games like Riven, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, KONA, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and The Suicide of Rachel Foster. This is a fully realized game; not a cheap shot demo. Good attempts at environmental storytelling, map design, gameplay elements, etc. And decent graphics as well...not outstanding realism or anything, but enough to draw you into the spooky story believably. I highly recommend this and await their next game!

Awesome game, I have seen add in social media and decided to buy and play it one day, also as finn I wanted to support finnish game dev. This horror game always makes you hold your breath and feel afraid, plot is interesting, suprisingly for me notes that I find during the game are interesting to read, usualy in other games I dont read them. Graphics are integral part of immersion, game creates an impression of AA game or even higher.

8/10. Lempo is a fun game but very, very frustrating as you progress as it is not linear but completely open ended and thus no help with where and what??? Lempo does nail the atmosphere — the graphics are genuinely impressive and the story pulls you in enough to want to see it through. Unfortunately, that's fighting against some rough edges that make it a slog at times. The biggest issue is direction: it's frequently unclear what you're supposed to do next or where you're even meant to go, and several puzzles don't give you enough to work with — you can be staring at symbols or mechanisms with zero sense of what the "solution" even looks like, let alone how to find it. A little more clarity or in-world hinting would go a long way. Yes, there is a hint system but one should be able to ascertain what needs to be done from playing the game, not referring to a hint system. The save system was very frustrating also. You save at lanterns scattered through the levels, which sounds standard enough — but if you die, you don't respawn at your last lantern. You're dropped somewhere else entirely (in my case, a white room I then had to walk out of), and it's not clear where that puts yo…
