About Lie In My Heart
My daily life brutally collapsed the day Marie, my wife, took her own life.
The violence of the death led to a forensic investigation, to reporters pushing doubt on the nature of what happened… and even though Marie suffered from bipolar disorder, the demons of remorse of our fresh break-up started to show up.
To try to get a grasp of why Marie gave up on life, I keep remembering our life together, the choices I made. It is a necessary evil to find the right words to Théo’s questions, our 5 year-old boy, in order to help him to cope with his mother’s loss.

Both a visual novel and an adventure game, Lie in My Heart is the exploration of a family tragedy and of the autobiographical possibilities of videogames. The game relies on the concept of « expressive games »: play experiences that give players the opportunity to take someone’s place in order to explore personal psychological and social issues, as well as moral and ethical dilemmas and their consequences. This concept is the result of several years of research carried out by game designer and researcher Sébastien Genvo

Short, sweet, sad, but very worth it. the title screen, art and music are beautiful. i plan to return and try to find the author's true events when i can. i feel such closeness with this story despite never going through anything like it. it's so well-told.
Игра "Lie In My Heart" - интересная визуальная новелла с захватывающим сюжетом о тайнах, предательстве и сложных отношениях. С самого начала она погружает в атмосферу интриги и недосказанности. Мне понравились проработанные персонажи, каждый со своими мотивами и секретами. Особенно удачно реализована система выбора, поскольку каждое решение действительно влияет на развитие событий и приводит к различным концовкам. С точки зрения визуала, игра выполнена в приятном аниме-стиле, который создает соответствующее настроение. Музыкальное сопровождение хорошо подобрано и усиливает эмоциональное воздействие сцен. Несмотря на некоторые клише в жанре, история удерживает внимание до самого конца. Единственным минусом, возможно, является некоторое однообразие локаций, но это компенсируется динамичным сюжетом и интересными диалогами. В целом, "Lie In My Heart" - достойная визуальная новелла, которую можно рекомендовать любителям жанра, особенно тем, кто ценит запутанные истории и сложные моральные дилеммы.

IF you are looking for an art piece that goes play straight with your emotion because it is a true story, this is for you. If you have difficulty to deal with the topic of suicide and death. Maybe not See this game has art more then an actual game.
