My Lovely Daughter

Unfortunately I can't recommend this game. Let me start by listing the positives: -The story is interesting! -The characters are fun. -The world is appealing to me. -The aesthetic in general is well done. However: -The gameplay is tedious and monotonous. -At a certain point you can only wait for the full moon to make some Actual Progress. For reference, the full moon occurs every 4 weeks, so that means doing 4 town job sections -Money quickly stops being an issue (why even play the job part of the game or fulfil requests?) It really feels like the story and aesthetic were made really well, but the actual gameplay and pacing are a poorly balanced afterthought. I think this should've had more QA before release. So! Don't regret my purchase (the early game was fun! Learning was fine, the characters were fun, etc) , but I can't bring myself to keep playing 'til the end when I'm no longer having fun. Hopefully the devs learned a few lessons to apply to their future endeavors

I love the art style. Ambiance was well done. Unfortunately I could not keep playing due to the sacrifice mechanic. It is a very interesting mechanic. I could just not keep loosing the daughters that I grew attached to for upgrading resources.

It's a game filled with moral dilemmas, mysteries you're about to uncover, and the makings of being a capitalist pig. I can hardly grow attach to the virtual children but the developers really nailed the part of making these beings humane and it doesn't shy away from depicting how brutal and horrendous your actions are.
