About Little King's Story
With his newfound powers of persuasion, the little boy began working to raise Alpoko from the depths of obscurity and poverty into the dizzying heights of absolute power and prosperity. With Howser offering effective advice and unrestrained ambition, and the citizens of Alpoko sharing his grandiose plans (whether they want to or not), the little boy marches ever onward to his ultimate goal of World Domination!
Initially released for Wii to rave reviews, this cult classic real-time strategy game juxtaposes cutesy fairytale visuals with some decidedly adult cynicism for a zany, irreverent adventure to build, enhance, and maintain a mystical, magical kingdom. Making its way to PC for the first time, this edition of the game remains faithful to the Wii original, but brings all its charming, sassy fun to a new audience. Can you keep Alpoko safe from the Onii and help our little hero become king of the whole world?
Key Features:
- Play an enhanced HD port of the fan-favorite Wii version of the game, with all the original storybook-style art, content, and gameplay present and accounted for.
- Play in English, French, Italian, German, or Spanish, to ensure that most of the Western world can understand your claim over their land (Note: Game also contains Japanese text, but in order for the Japanese text to display properly the Windows OS must be set to Japanese).
- Have your loyal subjects dig for treasure, erect buildings, and break obstacles to access new areas -- all in the name of bettering your kingdom.
- Interact with unique NPCs who have individual likes, dislikes, and personal memories which evolve based on their daily experiences.
- Take a variety of quests to help increase your reputation and further the noble name of Alpoko.
- Unite the surrounding rival kingdoms under your flag to become the best monarch in all the land (and ultimately, the one who rules over all the land!).

Little King's Story is praised as a creative and engaging strategy game with addictive gameplay, varied quests, and charming mechanics around building your kingdom and commanding different worker classes. However, players consistently complain about technical issues with this port, including frequent crashes and performance problems that can make the game difficult to play, especially later in the game.
One of the best Wii games ever. And one of my all-time favorites. In Little King's Story, you play a little king (no sh*t) trying to expand his kingdom. This means lots of exploration, conquest, fighting (especially against other kings), and sending disciples to crash into walls (yes). There are tons of varied quests, you gradually expand your territory and build buildings, search for treasures to sell, attack all sorts of enemies, rescue princesses, and assemble teams of soldiers, farmers, miners, hunters, lumberjacks, carpenters, and more to help you and do the work for you (well yeah, I'm the king, I'm not gonna tire myself out when I have people working for me). The game is EXTREMELY fun and addictive. It's challenging no matter the difficulty level (though they do matter), and it takes time to finish it, especially to get 100% completion, but it's worth it. I think one of the game's greatest strengths is how consistently enjoyable it is from beginning to end. The game is very, very complete. In addition to what I've already mentioned, you can collect taxes from people, marry off villagers and make them have children (no, you can't watch), recruit villagers from other regions…2 found this helpful

awful port that crashes constantly especially past one point and renders itself useless1 found this helpful
Unplayable, controller doesn't work at all.
YQV VVILL PLAY LITTLE KING STQRY AND YQV VVILL LIKE IT
You are a tiny king with a tiny quest.. WORLD DOM- uniting the realms under your flag. I play this on my Steam deck and really enjoyed playing it. It did crash a few times but I think that's more to the fact it's an older game. So save after every day. Otherwise, very fun.
