This is a rather cute, short game. I like the mini-dioramas and the ninja people. I like the portrayal of the siblings/their relationship with the dad. As for the mysteries... I liked reading them... But let's just say that I should never be allowed to investigate. Lmao.3 found this helpful
This was a hard game to figure out how I felt about it. One one hand, i really like the idea of the game and locked room murders, and I did enjoy some of the scenarios at parts. On the other hand, there were plenty of times where either the logic was a bit moony or there could have been other scenarios, and thus required me to guess at what the dev had in mind. There was also times where some information was presented during the discussion of the scene at the beginning but was not avaliable in the notes I also would have likes a better way to examine the environments...frequently the camera was giving me issues in being able to select to move to certain places. I do hope this dev makes more games in the genre, and I did have some fun playing the game, but for the price, length of game (short), and the issues I encountered, i wouldn't recommend it at full price.1 found this helpful
This game is okay if you have a couple hours to kill. I thought it would be more involved - that you'd get to do more on the actual dioramas (you can hardly move anything). It's short and oversimplified - it leans more heavily into the visual novel angle than the interactive mystery game one. The last case with the castle was the most interesting. I wasn't as interested in the kids bickering. It reveals information after you solve each case that the police would have known while they were investigating, which is a little frustrating (but then again I have been bingeing Poirot lately - and he's way more into the psychology of the various suspects than hard physical evidence - this game is all physical evidence and character information is considered irrelevant). Shoutout to Frances Glessner Lee - who is mentioned nowhere in this game, but did create actual dioramas of actual crime scenes that were used to train investigators. If you like forensics and history, check her out!
Really cool mystery game where you solve multiple murders. You have to answer questions and peice things together yourself. The mysteries, especially the last one, can be pretty challenging, but all of the peices are there for you to find if you look hard enough. One thing I liked espeically is that the game allows you to click on everything, meaning theres a lot of things that aren't related to the mystery that you can still click on. Which makes finding the actual clues much harder but more rewarding. You really have to use your brian, you don't really get your hand held and mostly enjoyed that. The only time I didn't is on the last case, when I was stuck and the hints didn't really help much. I think the hints should be more useful, espeically since to use them you have to trade off your points for the case, resulting in a worse score at the end of the case. Overall though, a great, quick, little game. Great mysteries, a really unique style to show them off and a good amount of brain power needed. 9/10
This game was so much fun! I loved the characters and their interaction, the mysteries and how the cases are introduced! My only problem was that it was short, but at the same time, this is an indie project. I would absolutely love to have a sequel or update with more cases for this game!
