About Lobster Empire

Lobster Empire is a game in which you build up your own lobster business, developing better fishing techniques and ways to create long-lasting and profitable lobster resources.

Your story as a lobster businessman in this game:

  • Era I-Lobster Fishing: Catching the lobsters will be the first step in your business, some of them offering plain currency while the rarer ones give/offer research points that will assist you in kick-starting your lobster empire.
  • Era II-Breeding/Hatching begins: Breeding/Hatching begins: Grow your lobsters in a hatchery system and breed your best strain of lobster to carry your growing empire.
  • Era III-Expanding your business: Your market is getting bigger; you're gaining more resources and renown so it’s time to expand: Build your restaurant to serve those well-bred lobsters, move your empire into shirts and toys in your very own merchandise shop and take the next step to going worldwide.
  • Era IV-Research and Innovation: Now that you have the base of your empire worked out it’s time to delve into the unknown, build up the Lobster Academy and boost your production even more with new inventions.
  • Era V-?: You'll have to find out/ It's a secret.

Features:

  • Send your team to catch lobsters using your fleet of ships, each with their own unique ability.
  • Explore new islands and waters to find rarer breeds of lobsters by purchasing a commercial license, but beware of the dangers of the sea as storms and obstacles might hit you when you least expect them.
  • Recruit lobstermen all with their unique stats for durability, stamina, law obedience, mechanical competence, sea-instinct, and navigation skill.
  • Catch a wide range of rare lobsters in different areas and increase your research points by finding blue, yellow, calico, split-colored, albino and giant lobsters.
  • Use a variety of fishing equipment to gain more profit like the smart lobster trap, the weather radar, and the secret map.
  • Upgrade your ship's equipment to improve the amount of lobsters caught and ship efficiency.
Research and develop tools to minimize lobster mortality and improve the hatchery system to sustain your lobster population.
  • Increase your profit through other business venues like the sea-food restaurant, the merchandise shop, the lobster sea world, and others.
  • Host events like ship races, cooking contests and others to sky-rocket your business's popularity.

The game has many other exciting features that are not listed here to prevent spoiling the experience.

You know what.... I started this game as something to play to make time go faster in anticipation of my mail coming.... after two days of casual Lobster catching I found my self in Era 2 still waiting for my mail and then then era 3 then four and then trying to get that damn Albino and his gigantic aquatic boyfriend just to find that there are 3 more even harder to find dead lobsters...... After a week or so of streaming this in a random public discord I have been told this game is like: stardew, sims and maple story heck even rune scape but no this is Lobster Empire a game that I got for like 1$ in a humble bundle and a game that after a week of blood sweat and tears and more determination than the ending deserved I find myself glaring at a question mark but also happy that I got this far with the other 4.1% of gamers. p.s my mail is still not here

DON'T EAT LOBSTERS, THEY ARE MY KIN! DO NOT COOK LOBSTERS, DO NOT BUY LOBSTERS, DO NOT CATCH LOBSTERS! ESPECIALLY DON'T PLAY REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBILE-LOOKING GAMES ABOUT LOBSTERS! AND DO NOT SLANDER ME BY CALLING YOUR GAME "LOBSTER EMPIRE"! I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A TACTICAL RPG RELATED TO THE LOBSTER EMPIRE, BUT NO. IT'S THIS CLICKER CRAP WHERE I DON'T EVEN MAKE A CAMEO!

Boring! Mobile clicker as some say is really fitting. Business simulation = 0. You are only allowed to have one ship per type. Why? Why not sell the small one and buy a big one? No! Keep small and make it impossible to buy more of the bigger. Crew can level up. Nice! But takes so f...ing long! All is so slow paced. This is also only reason why I got so many hours with this game. I wanted to have it since first announced. Bought in sale, and kept it with the hope it might change... Guess it will never happen... Oh, and worst thing ever! One song in loop! Brainwashing at its best...

Lobster Empire is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. It's a mobile ported business simulator/clicker with a lobster fishing theme, presented in part as a retro pixel JRPG (weird combination). Maybe inspired by Deadliest Catch or some deep seated love of lobsters by the developers, or maybe the boss said he wanted a mobster game and they misheard him and made a lobster game. The game is reasonably sophisticated with a few considerations that you need to make around hiring security, following the law with regards to catch limits (or you can break the law and risk getting fined), as well as XP/advancement system for your staff. You also get weird lobster facts every now and then as you catch rare lobsters. On the flip side, resolution is fixed, the soundtrack is bad, the dialogue is a pretty bad english translation, but the killers are the ugly retro pixel graphics and the insane $14.50 price tag for a mobile game.
