✦ AI summary
Fish Tycoon successfully captures nostalgia for players who grew up with this classic browser game, offering relaxing idle gameplay centered around breeding fish and building an aquarium collection. However, players consistently note that the game is available free on the developer's website, making the Steam purchase difficult to justify, and criticize it as a shallow mobile-style experience focused more on grinding and waiting than meaningful content or gameplay depth.
Fish Tycoon is yet another thinly-veiled mobile game with much of the game relying on players slowly solving some sort of puzzle, a breeding chart in this case, while focusing on quantity over quality in order to progress towards the game's end. There is not much else to say about this Last Day of Work product other than that, for some reason, the screenshots display modded/cheat-enabled gameplay, as demonstrated by the absurdly high cash quantity, reinforcing the idea that these are pocket games you spend a few minutes on before shutting down to check in on later. I respect it, but I would respect it even more if the game were free, just like on the company's website.2 found this helpful
A childhood classic. It was great to revisit it. Though it can be found on the developer's website for free.1 found this helpful
I remember playing Fish Tycoon as a kid at school on Learn4Good.com whenever I had the chance. It was one of those games that somehow kept me hooked for hours, trying to breed new fish and grow my little aquarium. Seeing it on Steam brought back a ton of nostalgia. I honestly missed this game. It's just as relaxing and addictive as I remember, and it's been great getting to play it again. If you grew up playing browser games and want a nostalgic trip back to simpler times, I definitely recommend giving Fish Tycoon a try.

Very nostalgic considering I grew up playing these games. Virtual Villagers, Fish Tycoon, and Plant Tycoon. I think these games are what got me hooked on idle games. They're amazing. 10/10 recommend if you like having to check in in real time to care for something, and if you love retro games!
Fun and easy
