Separated from his sled team by an avalanche, you must guide Brutus, the Siberian Husky, through the Alaskan wilderness – across lakes, cliffsides, and caverns, to rejoin his team and continue their mission to deliver lifesaving medicine to the people of Nome, Alaska. Avoid succumbing to the harsh environment as you explore and overcome puzzles and obstacles in Lost Beacon.

This issue will probably get solved after some time, but as for now, a month and a day after the game's release, it's totally unoptimised. I launched it on a computer several times superior than the one would match the minimal requirements, and it's absolutely lagging. I had like 5 FPS combined with 100% load on both GPU and CPU. Moreover, the game would occasionally crash with the message "Fatal error" as you try to start it. I couldn't get further the poorly voice acted introduction and the exit of the cave we spawn in at the very beginning. Until crashes are fixed and the game gets actual optimisation, Lost Beacon deserves my honest rating of 1/10. Thanks for reading.2 found this helpful

WOW! This game was painful to play. It's not an exaggeration, I didn't get above 5 fps throughout the whole game. Even the menus toggle pausing the game play when switching between journey entries, but also, who writes journal entries about the history of huskies? It's basically the laggiest running simulator, that gives false paths to choose from, the second path is always a dead end. There are inconsistencies of when you're going to freeze in the water or not, some of it, I can spam jump through like the Jesus Reincarnation of dogs. Trying to navigate the mazes and move boxes was the second worse part of the game because of how awful the collisions are when trying to get through the area. My game crashed 4 times trying to push these dumb boxes around. The design choice for scroll boxes in the credits is weird, it's not hard for someone to Google, "How to create a vertical scrolling credits screen" to create actual credits in any video editing software. Fire every QA tester on the project, they failed the team by not reporting half of these bugs, OR the developers were lazy and just rushing to put this out there.
