Traveler Lost

great game, the people that made this have to be super smart.

I tried to play this game. Its not very intuitive. The art style is nice. The story seems ok from what i saw of it. However the way the camera works and the worst jump function i have ever witnessed in a game that requires you to use jump. Its infuriating because if it wasnt for the camera being odd and more responsiveness with jump and a little more height when jumping i could have easily played this game. I cannot in good conscience recommend this game. I play games for fun not to stress me out.

Traveler Lost is a really charming little adventure that I found myself liking almost immediately. I play as a young traveler who comes across a frightened creature and decides to help guide it home. I liked how much of the game is built around the relationship between the two of us, because it makes the journey feel more personal than a normal puzzle platformer. The main gameplay revolves around working together with the creature to get through different environments. I can pick up and rotate objects, move statues, open gates and redirect light beams, while the creature has its own abilities that I need to understand. I especially liked the idea that both characters have strengths and weaknesses, because it means I have to think about how each part of a puzzle affects my companion as well as myself. The whistle mechanic is another nice touch. I can use it to call and guide the creature directly, which makes it feel like more than just a companion that follows me automatically. There are also moments where I can send it toward enemies to scare them away, and I enjoyed those sections because they make the relationship feel useful during the more dangerous parts of the adventure. …

this was very fun,i really liked the soundtrack for the first level and the puzzles felt very ps2 era inspired. i think the game's got a really nice artstyle,the 3D artist who made the model of the beast did a really nice job translating his 2D design to 3D.
