A Cold War-flavored point-and-click thriller with a strong family-drama core. It delivers plenty of stylish, dramatic set pieces, even if the transitions between them can feel a bit rough.

This game is genuinaly rubbish, and you should only buy it if the following factors apply; 1. You enjoy adventure caper storylines set in the past (1950s Cold War in this case) 2. You are prepared to put up with many areas of subpar graphics and cutscenes that look far worse than the first game 3. You are prepared to put up with frequent bugs and crashing. Just starting the game would take me half a dozen times on occasion before it would work 4. You enjoy overly convoluted puzzles or are happy using a walkthrough to cheese through most of it 5. The game is on deep sale (90% off or more) If none of those apply, it’s not worth it. To go into more detail, this feels like an attempt to correct areas of criticism that the first game had, but the money ran out half way through. This is combined with a number of other bizarre choices that leave the game just feeling like a mess. Firstly, as I understand it, the game runs on an old version of Unity. It crashed all the time for me. I tried fixes, but through my attempts to diagnose issues via the logs and the help of Chatgpt, it seems it’s just inherent to the game. I tried a few fixes such as disabling overlays, but they didn’t help…

I decided to give it a try despite some bad reviews and I must say it's a decent game. Beginning is much better than ending, which is rushed, but the puzzles are decent (and, unlike in no.1, you have a walkthrough) and the plot is interesting. If you like stories where you make things difficult for Nazis and KGB, give it a try.

A great sequel to the first part, it is as good as the first one. I liked the story in this one too, it’s a serious story and a great one. I think this time they dialed back the lighter tone a bit. The riddles and puzzles can give you a run for your money, but they are mostly fair and logical, maybe with a few exceptions. I never needed the game's help, I managed to solve all of the riddles and puzzles on my own. The game features several exotic locations and likeable characters. Even over 10 years old, the graphics still look good. The game is slick and user-friendly, fully controllable with just the mouse. It is worth noting that near the end of the game Saving and Loading becomes buggy and because of this bug finishing the game becomes difficult or even impossible and you have to start over (I had to start over, but after that I managed to finish the game without problems). A great, very enjoyable, story-rich point-and-click adventure game in the vein of the Indiana Jones movies, with direct references. Highly recommended.

Lost Horizon 2, developed by Animation Arts GmbH and published by Ravenscourt, is a narrative-driven adventure that attempts to evolve the classic point-and-click formula by blending cinematic storytelling with a broader, more emotionally grounded scope. Rather than simply continuing the pulpy, globe-trotting tone of its predecessor, the game shifts toward a more serious and introspective approach, placing greater emphasis on character relationships and personal stakes within a Cold War-era setting. The story follows Fenton Paddock, now older and more burdened by responsibility, as he becomes entangled in a conflict that spans both political tension and supernatural mystery. At the center of the narrative is his relationship with his daughter, which serves as the emotional backbone of the experience. This focus on family adds a layer of depth that distinguishes the game from more traditional adventure titles, where external conflicts often take precedence over personal ones. The narrative weaves together espionage, ancient myths, and global intrigue, creating a premise that is ambitious and wide-ranging, even if it occasionally struggles to fully develop all of its ideas.
