I give this game a rank D+ (50-55%) Forgettable game - sadly nothing really good here.. See my profile for more details about my reviews. I think Lowglow deserves around 53% in rating, which gives it a D+, normally a NOT recommend in my system... but once in a while, I will break the rules of my system and still give it a recommend - blame Steam, not me. I still don't think there is any reason for you to purchase this game, as despite its pleasant look (very abstract) and feel (the gameplay is rather relaxing), there is not much in this game. It reminds me of all these freewares on Newgrounds or Kongregate... but that was 20 years ago, and free, and on internet! Admittedly the game is now 10 years old and quite cheap, but still. Typical puzzle game of drawing a line to get bounces... as you see on the screenshots, and new mechanisms barely even appear (inverted gravity and the like). Gameplay is really not rewarding, trial and error based, so rather than a smart puzzle it makes you feel like you are fiddling with it more than anything. Music is very repetitive, there is a semblance of a story but it is extremely abstract and boring. Also, some weird clash in the styles with tiny c…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Step into a mesmerizing world where light and darkness exist in a fragile balance, and every movement becomes part of a mysterious audiovisual journey unlike anything else. Lowglow invites players into the fading realm of Umbralite, a hauntingly beautiful universe consumed by endless shadows where hope survives only through the glow of a tiny astral light drop. As the last spark capable of restoring radiance to this forgotten world, players must travel through surreal landscapes filled with dangerous puzzles, shifting gravity, and mind-bending mechanics designed to constantly challenge perception and logic. At its core, Lowglow is far more than a traditional puzzle game. It combines atmospheric storytelling, physics-based gameplay, and immersive audiovisual design into an experience that feels almost hypnotic from beginning to end. Every environment is crafted around the contrast between darkness and illumination, creating stunning visual moments where glowing colors pierce through the endless black void surrounding the player. The game’s artistic direction transforms even the simplest movement into something visually captivating, making exploration feel just as rewarding as solvi…

lowglow is a gorgeous atmospheric game, perfect for relaxing nights. the gameplay is simple from the first level to the final task: no upgrades! you'll be honing what you're doing, and that's really all. it's fantastic as it is. i started playing lowglow in 2017 and conquered the ultimate hidden achievement in 2025. i've been through three computers in that time! i'm finally happy to have cleared this, and i will miss it!
