Lust and Agony in Netori:The Ritual of Despair

The village of "Netori" is a seemingly idyllic tourist destination also noted for its high birth rate, yet it conceals a custom never revealed to outsiders: "men and women may cross the boundaries of marriage and love freely" -- a village-wide rule of transgression. The father-in-law, the village chief (her husband's childhood friend), and the villagers gradually close the distance with the heroine, inch by inch, within the rhythms of daily life. The highlight lies in the H-status system, which lets the player control the pace of corruption through choices. Each time a villager makes an advance, the player selects "refuse" or "accept," and these cumulative decisions shape the heroine's inner transformation and determine which ending the story reaches. Arousal level and affection toward each character are displayed on-screen, allowing the player to guide the narrative toward their preferred outcome to some degree. The heroine initially resists, then gradually absorbs the village's atm…

After completing the game (short, 2hrs), I don't feel like this game is worth full price ($13). All scenes are still images with a lot of text to read (no animations). Art is censored, too. The gameplay is either allowing people to do stuff, or not. So you wait or hit a button to refuse the attention (later it becomes a 'climax' button). I'd grade this at a D+ compared to other games I've played. Going to request a refund as I don't feel I got enough value out of the game.

Could've shipped as a VN without the top down pixel overworld aspect. It would probably be more tolerable. Not much variation to the already static scenes.

If you like ntr games with tons of corruption but the option to still stay pure I would definitely recommend. It gives off mind break as well with the denial you can face.

love the art style but seem repetitive only changes dialogue
