✦ AI summary

Microcivilization is a lightweight civilization incremental game with an engaging core concept that some find addictive, but players are sharply divided on its balance and progression systems, with many reporting that difficulty spikes dramatically after a few ascensions and becomes punishingly unfair rather than challenging. Common criticisms include poor balancing where enemy scaling vastly outpaces player progression, excessive repetition, and the perception that developer feedback is ignored, though some enjoy the clicking and strategic depth it offers.

Not balanced. Loop is boring at the end of the day. It was a good idea just executed poorly. Def a skip

Kind of fun until I had a disaster that made all of my units deal 75% less damage and even with everything stored up prepared and maxed out and using combos and every ability I still couldn't get past it.

Fantastic entry in the clicker-idle genre. The art work is beautiful - even offering alternates depending on your starting civilization - and really helps to immerse you in the game. The unique challenge modes add a fun twist as well. My only criticism is that the wonders seem mostly useless on a given playthrough unless you're achievement hunting, which is unfortunate because they do also nicely spice up the variety of art. I enjoy the casual 4X elements it incorporates, too.
