Magical Nut Ikuno

I really do not think anyone other than Qureate could have made this concept work. Basically, if Pac Man featured cute anime girls, that is this game in a nutshell. It has the usually Querate staples of fan service as a feature and a gameplay hook that is unique. In this game, you play as two college students who - through a series of events - became magical girls. Thanks to these squirrel like faires, the girls have the power to fight back against the evil Hamester (pronounced Ham-May-Ster) who seeks to concur the world. The story does not take itself too seriously and certainly will not win any awards, but it does what it needs to do and that was fine with me. At one point it seemed like it twas trying to go a bit deeper with Hamester's origin, but it did not produce anything of note. Sequel baiting, maybe? As I mentioned earlier, this game plays like Pac Man. You control either girl as she collects nuts on a board all the while avoiding the enemies and other hazards. A simple and fun Pac-man like anime game. The gameplay is simple and smooth. A nice game to sit down and chill to.

This is the best game that Qureate studio makes. I wish they invested more into their gameplay instead of the skippable stories. It seems they put lots of time into writing long drawn out dialogue which always ruins their projects, when they could focus on a proper game, with decent made anime characters and just give these arcade type games a ton of depth. They always seem like the prototype for something which could be great, but they just never push it out there. Everything from quality, to the passion behind these games at this studio is below the mark and when / if they do create something of better quality, I would be the first to support them. It's the start of something creative, but only the start... I don't think it's REALLY really good, HOWEVER if you like Anime and Pacman, it's good.

It's Jr. Pacman with anime girls. 50 levels in total. The levels aren't terribly difficult and have power ups (hp up, speed up...etc). The power pellet is a huge hamster wheel. The story is your typical girl saves world from an evil leader. Not a lot of depth but it has it's moments. Such as the Evil Leader having to work a real job. The whole boobs and butt increasing in size the more nuts you collect is more comical than sexy. You will get about 6 to 7 hours of gameplay. There is a harder mode/NG+, so I guess 12 to 14 hours if you want to 100%.
