About Mallow
General
mallow is heavily inspired by nuclear throne by having quick action paced runs and chaotic challenging gameplay. the game is quite difficult and is very punishing. the main mechanic is the ability to select enemies as well as upgrades. for every upgrade you select you must select an enemy. this is my first game as a solo dev (i do everything except the music) and student so the project might be a bit rough.Content
the main content is made up of enemies, upgrades, guns, and abilities. there is no meta progression.- 75+ upgrades
- 50+ enemies
- 25+ guns
- 15+ abilities

✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's music, free-to-play accessibility, and some elements of player choice, with several noting strong creative direction. However, common complaints center on poor visual clarity and messy presentation that makes gameplay difficult to follow, missing basic UI features like an escape button to exit, and controls that feel unintuitive, with several players struggling to engage with the overall experience.
This game truly makes you feel like you're John Mallow through its immersive storytelling, beautifully rendered cutscenes, top-tier voice acting, dynamic environments, and clever gunplay. Mallow truly most cinematic games to come out of this generation and deserves its seat to RDR2 and Frog Fractions. 7.5 Not enough water.1 found this helpful
it's missing an esc button to close the game, but I like the music !1 found this helpful
This game is a little confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to play. It is not easy difficulty wise, it's really hard. But not frustratingly hard or unfairly hard. I haven't played it much but of the 30 mins I have played I enjoyed it quite a lot! It's also free so you might as well play it! Also the music is really good
+Free +Some player choice ---Extremely messy visually, I couldn't get in to the game really -> feels terrible to play =Neutral review, but since I wouldn't recommend such game for myself, I won't do it to you either.
