Marie's Adventure

This genuinely feels like a game the developer released without ever properly playtesting it themselves. The progression is completely out of balance. The amount of EXP and stat growth you get is ridiculously low compared to what the game expects from you in order to progress, making it feel like the grind was deliberately stretched out just to artificially inflate the playtime. The pregnancy and childbirth system, which is advertised as one of the game's main features, is actually an incredibly small part of the overall experience. In reality, about 99% of your time is spent repeating the same tedious tasks over and over again just so you can make any meaningful progress. I can say this with confidence: this is not a properly designed game. The developer seriously needs to reconsider whether they understand what it takes to design a game in the first place. More importantly, they should ask themselves whether they've become so absorbed in the idea that they're some kind of “creator” that they've forgotten the people actually playing their game and started treating their players like vermin instead.

Honestly was excited for this when I played some of the old patreon builds, now that I've bought the game at its "full" price. I wish I got a burger instead. The balancing is arguably some of the worst I've ever seen, even on easy mode I struggle to progress through the story normally, and have to fall back every major point to go and ♥♥♥♥, have kids, get the echoes and buff up only to STILL not be strong enough to pass. The mood system is also just another level of RNG bullcrap added on top of an now bloated, tedious game. The story feels artificially difficult, even on easy mode, almost like I'm being forced to go back to the previous area and just do whatever until I hit some magic lvl that will allow me to beat the rapist ogre in the caves. Thanks for making me wait multiple years only to drop the ball👍

Lets start with the things that I feel are good: Very good artworks Attractive characters Solid map design Quite good NSFW content Now time for the things I feel are bad: The difficulty is insane, dark souls on the highest difficulty is easier. RNG for the mood mechanic is just terrible, with no working way to improve it. The upgrades for combat abilities has been butchered, the old Patreon build had a much better, simpler and more fun system. You're supposed to get points for upgrades through the pregnancies but each kid born gives very little reward so you just have to grind for ages to get anything decent. Bosses are pretty ridiculous, borderline unbeatable unless you absolutely spam shield, heals and Buffs, doing a very very small bit of damage every now and then. The added labyrinth puzzles are just.... no. Why does this exist? No way to view quests (active or completed), story lines, sub quests, whatever. No way to backtrack dialogue. For example you accidentally skipped too far, now you cant check what was said. The Journal is lacking in terms of explaining a lot of things. I'd rather have spent the money i did on this game, for something else. Like a DLC for ETS2. Wh…

Had fun with early versions of this game and was anticipating the full release. Now it's here and it's a difficult grind that's not enjoyable. Was seeing other posts about the difficulty and was hoping there would be changes made. Then I saw an announcement by the developer with a part in bold letter's IT'S INTENDED and advertising to join their discord. I thought this was a pregnancy fetish game not a masochist fetish. I'm getting frustrated against the boss in the cave but since I can't enjoy it I'm returning it before I'm stuck with something I don't like. I'll follow it and maybe pick it up again if they change their mindset, but I'm not holding my breath.
