The Legend of Arcadieu: A Furry-Tastic Review by Kiba Snowpaw

Introduction
Greetings, fellow gamers and furry friends! I'm Kiba Snowpaw, your resident alpha male ice wolf from the frozen world of HowlStrom. Today, I'm diving into the whimsical world of The Legend of Arcadieu, an indie visual novel by Kavorkaplay. This game is a quirky mix of RPG parody, casual simulation, and visual novel elements, wrapped in a charming anime aesthetic. Let's embark on this adventure together and see what this game has to offer!
Basic Plot Summary
The Legend of Arcadieu thrusts you into the role of a gamer who gets sucked into a fantasy RPG world after a mysterious computer glitch. Armed with your dual bows and accompanied by a cute mage and a beautiful warrior, you must battle through hordes of sexy monsters to defeat an evil dark queen and find your way back home. Along the way, you'll form bonds with various characters, making choices that will shape your destiny and determine your ending.
Originality
What sets The Legend of Arcadieu apart from other visual novels is its playful parody of classic RPG tropes. The game embraces its absurd…
This is an enjoyable enough VN. Mildly recommend to people in its niche. LoA is NOT an RPG. It is a VN in an RPG setting. It understands how cheesy it is, embraces it and makes no apologies for it. As the chosen hero you wield two bows! At the same time! How can you shoot both simultaneously with only two arms?!?! Meh, don't worry about it, it's that kind of setting. Everything is cliche but done well enough. The backgrounds are simple in a way that engages your imagination. The CGs look nice, especially for an indy project. That sound good? If you're still with me and like the way the women look you should get something out of it. The bad: The dev went though a lot of trouble to remove basic VN features like backlog that built into VN Maker. Is the last boss' name Alexandra (what it says in the game) or Alexandria (what it says in the art)? Come on, that's just sloppy. Pick one. The HCGs are a little lacking in detail, especially when compared to the main game CGs. A CG of you killing the last boss was patched out (I think?). There is an empty CG spot in the gallery and an unused CG of the boss having two arrows shot in her. It would make sense for that CG to show up when you s…
