Matergari: Below Valesia

I feel like the only thing this game is really lacking is some kind of character stat allocation and/or passive skill tree. Just feels odd only building a character with random loot.

I had the pleasure of being able to participate since the initial stages of the game's development and initially there were several bugs and some parts of the game were quite complicated and stubborn for progression. I tried again recently after seeing various updates and I must say that it has improved a lot. The game has a nice 8-bit graphics and now that there is "help" from the inhabitants everything is much clearer. The game puts us in front of a challenge that initially seems simple and linear then after a couple of hours while our character grows in level and increases the equipment also the difficulty increases. In addition to the classic leveling where HP increases etc. the choices on the type of armor (and related bonuses), weapons and above all the active skills that you can bring into combat give a good choice and customization especially in how you want to play and you will be led in various situations to change skills to face certain dungeons or stages. The story is linear and all in all simple but while you play you are led to want to insist to see what you will unlock by completing the mission.
