The introduction is a text dump of broken English that might be poking at the fourth wall a bit, or it might just be bad. The gist? Fantasy shenanigans! You control a party of two who have to save the entire world, on the understanding that the entire world consists of one town and the small collection of monster nests inconveniently located scant meters away. The game looks like something from the Windows 3.1 roguelike shareware catalogue a la Castle of the Winds, with comparable depth. To be clear, you should not be expecting an off-brand Spiderweb Software game. Realms just ain’t that deep. You’ll find everything you’d expect to find in short order. Procedurally generated dungeon floors filled with goblins and spiders to ineffectually stab at. Hidden traps you might disarm, but probably won’t. Loot to horde and new weapons to…

For a casual game, it's pretty alright.

This is a retro pixel 2D RPG game that looks like a hybrid of a classic western RPG but with retro JRPG-like graphics. Bumble around some dungeon for some reason and kill samey monsters. Apart from the routine RPG gameplay with stats and inventory and attacks and spells, there's a weird crystal mechanism that nobody asked for. I think a lot of effort went into some aspects of this game but other areas are severely lacking. The game was released in 2018, so there's really no excuse for using 1990's graphics, computers have advanced beyond that now. It's a shame to see the good design elements being wasted by low effort graphics and some very mediocre interface and visual elements. Also, $8.50 is far too much for retro pixel graphics, so I'm not going to suggest anyone plays this. Gamers looking for a solid RPG experience should consider games like Skyrim (which goes on sale cheaper than this) or Divinity: Original Sin 2.

The combat mechanics are interesting, but the game is very poorly designed. There are significant issues with the interface, and the loading times between turns are unreasonable with how simple the game is. Not worth buying.

A fairly simple fun game. Well worth the price. I enjoyed it and will probably play it again down the road.

Cute little game, pretty fun - especially for the price. I really enjoyed the combat system, and it wasn't long enough to become tedious - it hit that sweet spot.
