About MegaRace 3
Forget about car races. Now, encouraged by a cheering crowd and the wild commentaries of Lance Boyle, you will be piloting vessels specially conceived for speed and combat, in environments that change with each race. Instead of a being given a low-powered shotgun, the player is provided with a lean machine built for speed and war at their fingertips.
In a totally wild virtual universe, the hallucinogenic projection of what TV will be showing in the future, it's a unique game that re-creates both a spectacular race, and a great first person shooter. Cynical presenter Lance Boyle is at the helm of sending out brave drivers in a daredevil challenges. All the ships are modular and according to your results, you will be able to personalise them. Different modules are available to improve the engine characteristics, including the battle armour and the weapons.
Fasten your seat belts...
* Aggressive, high-velocity, futuristic racing on the micro scale
* Take part in a game show that will blow up a city to increase its audience
* There’s no such thing as too much of Virtual TV’s very own Lance Boyle

This is missing the Megarace 2 charm. They tried something totally different that just did not work.1 found this helpful
As far as a Wipeout style AG racer goes...it doesn't seem to bad at all. It is a lot better than the racing in Megarace 2, but still fails to reach the fun of the first one. But there are three problem I encountered: 1. The screen shakes. This game is not Win10 friendly...and it looks like my issues are better than what others have had. I could play it, but there were times where the screen would shake a bit too much that it was disorientating. 2. The different ship modes: attack, speed, and defense. It took forever to take someone out firing on them during the mandatory practice...but when I did arcade mode the first time it was too easy to just stay in first. However attack mode seemed to control better and go faster than speed mode. Hmmm...... 3. This one hurts to say: Lance Boyle kills this one. He is great in Megarace....cool and sarcastic. This one has way too much forced comedy. Its...well...annoying. Also the video is even lower budget than the first. The first game had a very futuristic cyber feel to it. This one it just feels like Lance is shooting out of his garage. As a racer it is good...if you can get it working. Its just said that one of the best things about Me…1 found this helpful
Unplayable in Windows 11.
MegaRace 3 Good Great 11/10
The negative reviews are there for a reason. For the life of me I cannot get this game to play nice with a modern system. It insists on changing your screen res to 640x480 just to play the intro movies, then back to the actual resolution you picked, causing Windows to throw a hissy fit.
Borderline unplayable on modern computers, unfortunately Was a banger when it came out, though
