About Memoranda

Memoranda is a game about forgetting and being forgotten!

A point and click adventure game with magic realism elements that tells the story of a young lady who gradually realizes she is forgetting her own name. Is she really losing her memory or is there something else that could explain the strange circumstances?

The story happens in a quiet little town where a few ordinary and strange characters live together. Including a World War II surviving soldier to an elephant taking shelter in a man’s cottage hoping to become a human. There is one thing all these characters have in common: they are losing something. It could be a name, a husband or even someone’s sanity!

The story is inspired by various Haruki Murakami short stories that describe a surreal world full of lonely characters.

Features
- A classic 2D point and click adventure game in a magic realism setting.
- Unique and beautiful hand-drawn full-HD 2D graphics.
- Inspired by many of Haruki Murakami’s short stories.
- Original soundtrack with more than 15 tracks.
- Thousands of lines of dialog with English voice over.
- Meet more than 35 characters in 40 different locations.

Nonsensical and uninteresting. Slow, bad voice acting.

https://youtu.be/BtYqypcrxko Lacking clear goals and using forced logical gates players will attempt to solve puzzles with only partial information.

Somehow this game manages to be as obtuse as Discworld. Things don't update in the world when they should (magazine stand), characters speak the same old lines as if their puzzles hadn't already been solved, etc. There is a hint system that basically spoils the answers for you, because the puzzles make little sense otherwise. That said, it was still interesting. Maybe it was the magical realism, the beautiful art style. or the relatable main character, at any rate I'll remember this game for a good while.

7/10 Very well made point and click adventure. I enjoyed the very unusual story and characters. The hand drawn art is beautiful.

Super bizarre game. Artstyle is good, but I feel like it would be near impossible to figure stuff out on your own without a guide. Thus, I can't really recommend it.

A cheerfully oddball artstyle can't save this surrealist adventure from getting tangle in its own sense of weird. Point and click puzzle are famously obtuse, but it's even harder when the world you're in has no sense of logic.
