About: Bob is a working-class angel ordered by God himself to go and clean up the putrid, disgusting, sleazy, and infested world of the future. He has been given the power of possesion so that he can sneak up on any person, animal or genetically engineered being and leap right into their souls!
With your help, Bob can then use their bodies, their weapons, or even their bare hands to strangle, cripple, impale, and incinerate the cities of sinners sent to stop you from finding Satan himself. Hiding in their souls, Bob can use these sinners' bodies against their will as armor (to take pain for him), or he can use them for camouflage (to hide inside them) and pretend to be just another twisted citizen in the Messiah world...
The rules are up to you - enjoy the freedom.

A one-of-a-kind experience with a rather unique body swapping mechanic and a completely unhinged setting. It's edgy, it's morbid, it's cruel and it's a work of passion. It's best to play it on a VM though since even with patches the game is plagued with issues on modern hardware. The biggest offender is music which you need to burn to a CD for the ability to even hear it in game and then the tracks are all in the wrong order and it breaks the minute you die and reload a save. I don't usually write reviews unless a game has really resonated with me and Messiah surely did. Definitely recommend to play it, even if getting it to run properly might take more time than finishing the game.3 found this helpful

I remember using the gun to impale enemies in this game.
most unique story line and best for its age in game dynamics and play mode - possessing bodies is so cool
buggy, difficult to play, constant crashing. I was hoping it would be a good trip down memory lane as I played it back when it first came out, but was sorely disappointed.
