Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind

I will preface this with stating that the No recommendation is purely if you want to play this game with friends in multiplayer. If are you buying for solo? That recommendation turns to a hard MAYBE and only if you are a big Power Rangers fan. Frankly there are many other beat-em-up games that are much much better, both older and newer. I do not recommend this for multiplayer because, firstly, you can only play with 2 people without using remote play. Secondly, the game does NOT save progress of a multiplayer session. The only way you can come back and continue from where you left off is by having (at least) the host play by themselves through Story Mode to have all the stages available to them prior to playing with friends (note that this part is partially from hearsay that we saw on the forums after looking it up after a friend and I booted up the game for a second session). Both of these things immediately gave a rather negative impression of the game. The game itself is a pretty standard and uninteresting fare and is pretty acceptable. But in comparison to things like River City Girls, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion it feel…

It's good enough. I can see why reviews are mixed. This game studied the abridged book of ninja fighting. It's fun, but definitely takes cheap shots. It's also a braindead CHOICE to make the game support 6 players but only 2 player online... you can't tell me that's a technical limitation. It was a choice. *Completed on arcade stick. Mostly felt fine, the Zord shooting sections feel bad on stick tho.

Needs patching, balancing and content. Tons of potential but the Dragonzord fight is barely doable. I still don't get how to correctly trigger the Power Sword attack with the Megazord. UPDATED: Very important to check the control lists for the Zord Battle. That dodge move is crucial. I could finish the Dragonzord battle with it. Going to keep playing it. Summary for now: Positive: In theme with the 90's MMPR's. A decent varied move set but a bit lacking oomf there. Difficulty i feel is a bit all over the place. A LOT of hidden things and lore. The fact you have a 2D PR fighter, the Arcadey Zord Levels and the Megazord Battles adds variety. I love that you can also unlock the Green Ranger. The Negative: Needed tweaking. REALLY REALLY needed a chunky extra DLC that adds more levels that have you play Green Ranger in the story but also lets you play with more Zords more often. Needed more variety and boss fights. Needed a DLC with extra play modes like a Gauntlet etc and more unlockables. Conclusion; Well worth it for MMPR fans at a discount. Not worth it full price atm.

There's a lot of MMPR fans on here crapping in their Power Rangers underwear about how terrible this game is. This game is not bad. It's very short however. That said, pick this up with a few friends on a sale and you'll have fun. It's an arcade game for crying out loud. I also would NOT pay full price for this. 40 dollars is crazy for this one.

Okay, I recommend it but not really... I mean the graphics are very good, the iconic music is there, the gameplay isn't bad BUT, it feels lazy ! What I mean is that there aren't a lot of levels and you finish the game in barely 4 hours. (on easy) there aren't a lot of replayability, you can play with different rangers or online but it will always be the same. And the story feels rushed. -Rangers all feel the same, an ultimate to clear the screen but no special move to differenciate them, there aren't a lot of possible action either, only the classics (punch, grab, jump, double jump which is not that useful, an uppercut, down smash and dive kick) -Yes, the green ranger is playable once you finish the game but no, it doesn't change anything, he's the same as the others. -No, the green ranger doesn't become the white ranger, the story stops WAY before that. -Yes, there is a RPG system to boost the stats of every ranger (speed, attack and defense) but no, it doesn't change much even if maxed) -Yes, the game has a zord and moto gameplay but it's kinda boring and difficult. -Yes, you can play has the megazord but this is probably the worst part about the game, also the most frustrating…
