About Minabo - A walk through life

Minabo - A walk through life is a social simulation game where you walk the path of life while your turnip grows and thrives (or not) in its social relationships.

Life starts when you sprout, time goes by with every step you take, and you can set your pace at any moment. You live and learn: surround yourself with other turnips and interact with them to forge your personality. Your acquired strengths and weaknesses will affect your future interactions.

Build your social circle by maintaining and caring for the relationships that matter the most to you, and run away from the ones that don't. You can adopt many radish-pets and spend your life with them, start a family and breed little turnips or live fast and die young. There are thousands of ways to live and none is correct! Just live as you wish! (and assume the consequences of your decisions when you rot).

Living and thriving in social relationships is not easy, so Minabo - A walk through life offers collectible hats that produce different effects when worn. Easily falling in love, making everyone hate you, getting an elegance plus or even changing your life expectancy...

In Minabo - A walk through life, no two lives are the same and when they end, every one of them will generate a summary that you can share with your friends.

What would you change from your past? What would life have been if you weren't rude to that one friend of your childhood? What if you spent more time with your family? Minabo - A walk through life will allow you to discover the answers if you decide to go back in time instead of starting a new life.

Main features:
  • 25 quests with dozens of goals to make every life a challenge.
  • Free life mode: Each life and character is randomly generated. No two lives are the same!
  • Explore interpersonal relationships and build your social circle. Realistic relationships counselled by psychologists!
  • Surround yourself with other turnips and radish-pets!
  • Appealing visuals for all audiences, charming characters with hundreds of animations and seasonal backgrounds.
  • Share your life's summary with your friends.
  • Start a new life or change your past. You can restart any life to change whatever you'd like (or at least try)

The gameplay is so simple that it gets boring very quickly. Not many features.

I didn't care for this game. I understand what the game was trying to do, but the whole experience just felt confusing and boring to me. I never really felt invested in the gameplay or motivated to keep going.

Loved it! Minabo is a gentle and quirky metaphor for life, love, and connection. What sets Minabo apart is its simplicity and symbolism. Every interaction matters. Do you greet someone? Hug them? Ignore them? Your choices affect how your turnip develops socially, emotionally, and even spiritually... A charming, thought-provoking stroll through the garden of life.

Quests 1-3 were too easy and boring, I was about to drop the game, but from quest 4 and afterwards it becomes more challenging and enjoyable, with the possible enemies, some goals, random items and hats adding a bit more complexity to a game that's still simple. What does annoy me is that it can get hard to track other turnips when they're not too close. It's also a bit buggy, at least with only these few hours I've already experienced 2 bugs: items not activating (even when walking over them, like mushrooms or apples) and getting the achievement for living over 900 years despite only reaching age 107.

Minabo - A walk through life is an unconventional and quietly reflective life-simulation experience that uses simplicity, metaphor, and charm to explore what it means to grow, connect, and eventually let go. Developed and published by DevilishGames, the title places players in control of Minabo, a small turnip-like being whose entire existence unfolds along a single horizontal path. From the moment Minabo sprouts from the soil to the inevitable end of their life, every step forward literally advances time, turning movement itself into a powerful narrative device. Rather than focusing on skill mastery or complex systems, the game asks players to slow down and observe how choices, relationships, and priorities shape a lifetime. The central mechanic of Minabo is elegantly symbolic: walking equals living. Each step forward pushes the clock onward, cycling through seasons that visually represent aging and the passage of years. Spring feels hopeful and bright, summer energetic and full, autumn reflective, and winter subdued and fragile. These seasonal shifts are not just aesthetic flourishes but emotional signposts that reinforce the game’s themes of impermanence and growth. The hand-dr…
