About Minako
Minako is kind of like a tower defense game. The goal is to defend your castle for 30 nights. To do that you need to hire local villagers and assign them jobs. The key to victory is to keep in mind each villagers stats (str, dex, int) and skills and assign them accordingly. For example villagers with high strength will do better collecting wood or iron and will fare better on the front lines of battle. But it's not as straight forward as that. Keep a sharp eye and observe them well to develop your own strategy.

A skin-deep clone of Kingdom, Minako carries over the pixel graphics without any of the ambiance, and swaps a vague Western medieval motif for an explicitly Japanese one, but fails to really get what made Kingdom good. Both Kingdom and Minako are side-scrolling real time strategy-ish town manager-ish games, focusing upon building up your kingdom as fast as possible to resist increasingly dangerous waves of enemies. Whereas Kingdom was an aggressively minimalist game, with the only resources being people and coins, three commands (go left, go right, and drop coin), and yet featured as much depth as one could hope for in a game of that simplicity, Minako ignores that in favor of forcing you to deal with the worst possible interface that could be conceived of being forced into a game this simple. Even the title screen starts off with a "confirm" button, making you first click new game, then confirm. EVERY menu in the game is like this. You have to use A and D to scroll the screen (no mouse-at-side-of-screen scrolling), and escape brings up a quit game menu, but everything else takes clicking on the specific object you want to deal with, and then clicking what you want to do, t…11 found this helpful

I like the idea of the game but its a little shallow and unrefined the first thing that i noticed about the game is that the ui is the worst probably i can remember, in usability at least but outside of that the most frustrating part about this game is how much time you are litterally waiting for nothing to happen every night some guys come that you have to fight and it takes way too long to start and or finish but much worse than that the day-end screen takes roughly ten years to finish making this game viscerally frustrating to play i would be interested in playing more if the game got rid of the awful downtime in between days but even then it would be kinda halfbaked as a game i like the artstyle mostly even though its nothing too special in its own right, although the eyes on the character sprites look odd all that aside i would be interested if the dev made another game that improves upon this one
4/10 Its alright but not what I was expecting
Hard game! But I liked it very much! Pros - Nice pixel style - Finding everything out was joyful for me - If I had paid 3 bucks I wouldn't be unhappy - Hard to master - More complex than it seems in the beginning Some suggestions, maybe the developer will update the game in the future. The building sound has a lot of bass, it was a little bit annoying. You get coins but pay in G like Gold? Why not C? Other music for the night instead of no music? I had a weird bug where a villager hadn't enough to eat but wouldn't work but also wouldn't eat. The villager turned completely useless. Evade seems a bit overpowered. Scrolling in the menus was very slow. It's a little bit on the slow side. Maybe make the intro skippable on the second playthrough. Translation of the little bit of text? Maybe German? I would happily do it :D But! I still liked the game and can recommend it, especially for this bargain price :D If there is an update in the future I would be really happy!
Nice game, see some Kingdom stylized things and features.I mean its not bad at all.Good game for good price
